Are school uniforms good or bad? A dress code in schools has always been a major issue for some students. Some students feel they should be allowed to wear whatever they want because it makes them feel comfortable and attractive to other people. There are many different reasons for school uniforms. Some people feel as clothing is a relatively minor issue when it comes to education. Others may feel they have to compete with the most recent designer fashion look of other students. Some people are not as fortunate as other students may be. Enforcing a uniform can help parents and students feel good that they do not have to compete with the latest fashion. Some kids cannot afford to keep up with the “Jones”. When students wear the same things, kids do not have to stress about having the newest brands. Parents do not feel as they have to compete with other families to buy expensive clothing. Many parents cannot work, and having a young teenager working a full time job and goes to school and motivate the student to drop out of school to make money.
