Military Spending We would probably vote against reduce spending on the military. Why should we reduce military spending? The military is our main defense against any kind of threats. Why should money be cut away from those who protect us? These are men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect our families, friends, schools, jobs, homes, the country, and everything else that we have. We need them. We never know when something tragedy could happen we need to be ready for anything. Military use the money for research that drives a lot of future products. According to business insider.com the U.S. has the world’s strongest military. We can not afford to fall behind and give our opponents the upper hand. We need our military support. At all times for any kind of crisis. The funds need to be available to secure our troops with supplies they need and places they need to be at. Also to maintain arms, equipment, and facilities to fund operations and to develop and buy new equipment. It funds all of the military branches such as the army, air force, navy, coast guard, and marine corps. They also use a portion of that money to for emergency and supplemental spending. It is also used in deterring foreign threats. It makes military preparation efficient. It keeps peacekeeping in foreign regions. It prevents recruitment and retention issues. The armed forces in the country have been facing problems with the recruitment and retention of qualified personnel due to low benefits and pays. This can be avoided with sufficient budget for the military. It can keep defense factories operational. Increasing the military spending will enable the struggling defense contractors to keep their factories operational and retain military jobs at the military
