Child abuse is an important issue in the U.S. and it must be stopped. In the past 10 years, over 20,000 American children were killed by their own families due to severe abuse and neglect. All children deserve a happy, carefree childhood, yet there are hundreds of children silently suffering at the hands of their own kin instead of spending quality time with their friends. Most people can agree that more actions should be taken to stop child abuse for good. To help end the issue of child abuse in the U.S., however, one must first understand what child abuse is.
