Public health England has made an improvement to the nation’s health and has reduced health inequalities. They have done this by protecting the public’s health from infectious disease and other hazards to health also, through improving the public’s health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities by improving population health through sustainable health care services and to build the capability of the public health system. Public health England has made the public healthier by encouraging discussions, advertising government and supporting action by local government, the NHS and other people organisations. There can be many different ways of protecting and promoting public health. The most common way to promote public health is through the media. For example, advertising on the television or on the radio, this can be done through the media. Another common way of promoting public health is through the internet such as, websites, this is an easy way to get advice from the NHS or BBC. http://www.fph.org.uk/what_is_public_health Sometimes, newspapers and magazines are mostly common ways to prevent disease and ill health. For example, sometimes magazines and newspapers print out statistics about smoking and lung cancer, this can sometimes possibly scare the public as a way of promoting public health. Another example of promoting public health are true life stories from magazines, in which people discuss how their life was ruined by ill health or an disease and how they have recovered from the disease. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world. Non-melanoma skin cancer refers to a group of cancers that slowly develop in the upper layers of the skin. This cancer spreads fast in the body. Skin cancer develops when DNA found in cells that encodes genetic information and becomes damaged and the body cannot patch-up the damage being done. These damaged cells being to grow and divide uncontrollably, when this takes place, skin cancer develops. The symptoms of skin cancer are that if you have a mole or you notice skin changes you should be seen by a doctor immediately the doctor will check you over and see if the mole is getting any bigger, or if your skin is changing colour. For example, getting darker or becoming patchy or multi shaded. You skin will start to become painful and will start itching, you may bleed and it could look
