The Quality of a product or service is what separates the professional from the amateur. When companies’ are committed to produce a product and or service on time and within budget this is admirable and important, but this is not enough as we quickly see there is much more to a project then just time and money. It does not matter if you are managing a multi-million dollar IT project or managing your career, the commitment to quality makes a big difference. When you think about quality practices, what are the first concepts that come to mind? This paper will explore some of the proven ways that other project managers have improved their project 's quality. By implementing these key improvements to your project could result in catapulting your project from amateur to a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) company project.
