What is so intriguing about how the telephone has progressed? Have you ever thought of this? Before the invention of the phone, the Morse code and the telegraph were used for communication. It was the first form of long range communication and the start of the telephones progression. The telegraph used Morse code, a coded message that was also made by Samuel Morse, as its source of communication. The first message that was sent over the telegraph by Samuel Morse was “What hath God wrought!” Numbers 23:23. The telegraph was very useful during the Civil War because it let soldiers send messages all over the field to their commanding officers to relay news of what is happening in the field. This is may have been a reason that Bell is intrigued in the vibrations of the voice. Now we shall see what the telephone used to be to what it is now.
Telephones were invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell. Many different forms of the telephone have been introduced. The start of Bell’s idea might have been the tin can telephone. We are now able to make calls and text to friends and family. Leave a voicemail for when the person you are calling is not home. Send pictures, watch videos, and listen to music. Go on the internet to play video games, send emails or receive them. We even have a Global positioning system now and many more features that might still come. Many have made the telephone such a possibility from the simplicity to the complexity that we see today. This is only what is now; we can make phones come even farther in advancements.
