Producing a Booking System for a Theatre or Cinema
In this section I am going to state and solve the task that has been
set for me, I will also outline a variety of possible solution and
list 3 quantifiable objectives or user requirement for my project.
(a) Statement of the problem
My task was to produce a booking system that would function for a
theatre or cinema. My system has to show the entire seat available,
all the seat that is booked, empty and reserved seats.
(B) Alternative solution
I can produce a booking system for my cinema in hand; by using pen,
pencils but my system will be unprofessional.
I can use Microsoft word and Microsoft excel, I have choose Microsoft
excel because it will give me a professional result and the main
advantage of using Microsoft excel is that it is a spreadsheet with
all the formulas.
Microsoft excel has it own layout which will be easy to produce a
booking system
(C) Project objectives:
(1) My first objective is to create a booking system for a cinema or
theatre.
(2) Make sure that my system and my function works.
(3) My booking system will have an advanced feature of Microsoft
Excel.
Analysis:
In the analysis, I am going analysis the problem that was set to me.
First I will list out all the hardware and software solution. I am
going to explain the data I need to collect and where I am going to
collect it. I will produce a dataflow diagram showing where the data
is coming from and where it's going.

Here is all the hardware I will be using in my project.
(a) Input Device
I have two Input devices, which are Keyboard and mouse.
(b) Output Devices
I have three output devices, which are 14 inch VDU, Brother laser

Pentium 3 667mhz process, 10 gigabyte HD, and 64 megabyte RAM
