Pro-Choice protesters claim that this is a false consumption and that an abortion does not cause any physical or mental harm. This is due to her body reacting as if she had a miscarriage. Also, these protesters state that medical abortions done by a gynecologist are not dangerous and that the most common complications occur when performed by an unskilled citizen. Wade was a case from 1973 that brought world-wide attention towards abortion, resulting in the national ruling of legal abortion. The case specifically stated that by the law of the Supreme Court, the state of Texas along with no other state can deny any woman the option of terminating her fetus. This ruling was the beginning of the debate between Pro-Choice and Pro-life. The Pro-life argues that the Fourteenth amendment gives protection of the child by stating that “No state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” which would result in abortion being banned. Unfortunately, due to the lack of documents and evidence, a Supreme Court case cannot be declared based merely on opinion of a fetus being a child. Against this Pro-choice argues that the constitution has several amendments and articles that protect the woman’s rights to choose between having an abortion making it unconstitutional to make abortion illegal. They frequently reference to the First Amendment “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...” stating that the fight amongst the people is simply a religious battle. Plus, they believe that the Roe v. Wade case allowed congress and officials to understand how important women’s privacy is, viewing this as a turning
