Pro Gay Marriage

Imagine if you couldn't marry the person who you were in love and wanted to spend the rest of your life with because it was seen morally, socially and religiously wrong. For millions of people all around the world that’s the harsh reality. Times are changing in the world that we live in today however discrimination against gay and lesbian couples is still a frequent issue with only 13 countries that fully legalise and recognise gay marriage with full equality.
The most common argument for people being against gay marriage is that it’s “not natural” for two people of the same sex to have a marriage. Opponents of gay marriage make out that the natural world that we live in created marriage however this is wrong as us the humans did. How can you argue that gay marriage is not natural when nature has very little to do with the matter itself? In addition to this, opponents that argue that gay marriage isn't natural more or less just put themselves into homophobic situations as there is no clear evidence that suggests that gay marriage is unnatural. Personally for me I can’t understand people’s logic to gay marriage being unnatural because if millions of people all around the world are gay isn't being a part of a gay marriage just as normal as how there are millions of heterosexual people that are in a marriage.
Religion also leads the way as a strong argument towards gay marriage with many people believing that it’s against their religion. Opponents to gay marriage with strong religious beliefs believe that gay marriage is “sinful” with marriage also being a religious intuition for only man and woman. ...myself who has friends and family who are gay or lesbian I find it immensely aggravating that they are seen by some people around the world as wrong to experience the opportunities the rest of us are giving in life such as being married and eventually having children. Religion is a major factor towards opponents being against gay marriage however so many other life choices people make in life happens against peoples religious views so why is gay marriage seemed so unacceptable. There are also many other arguments people make towards gay marriage despite this there is very little evidence to prove what these opponents are saying making most of it very unjust able and at points homophobic. Just think for one moment, how would you feel if yourself or someone you loved dearly wasn't allowed to marry the person they truly loved just because it was seemed as incorrect?
