I think Ancient Athens is a democracy for many reasons, besides the fact that the definition of democracy is governed by the people and that is exactly what the Ancient Greeks did. It is much more democratic than even our American government considering we are governed by those elected by the people instead of the people governing themselves. As shown in document D by Professor Hanson the Greeks were Governed by nobody but the citizens themselves. If we look at document A you can see that all of the laws give equal justice to all Greek citizens and favors the many instead of the few, this is why it is called a democracy.
