Multiple verses in the Bible talk about going out into the world and telling people about who God is. Just to name a few, John 4:37-38 “You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true. I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.” “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Also in 1 Corinthians 3:3-17, Paul talks about how him and Apollos have shared about the Good News to the Corinthians and have done short-term mission work there.

Prayer is so powerful and something that we need to do no matter if we are in the mission field or not. This is the only way we can communicate with God our thoughts and the only way that we can defeat the spiritual war that we are fighting. Prayer proves the supremacy of God in missions and that prayer is our participation in declaring that the victory of this war belongs to the Lord. It is only by the Holy Spirit that we are able to do what we do. Not only does the Holy Spirit work through us, but it also calls us to go share with others the good news. . “The “Mission is finding out where the Spirit is at work and joining in.” The Spirit is at work in many people’s hearts and we are the ones who are supposed to go out there and find them “It is the work of spreading this good news of the true face of God that the Spirit calls us to join in.” If God is stirring in people’s hearts we need to be the ones to give that flame a little spark so that it can start burning. The Spirit has sent us and called us to work in people’s lives. We as Christians can recognize the way the Holy Spirit moves around us and we can use this as inspiration for us as it sends us forward in mission.
