Discuss positive working practice with people with additional needs Personal Care Good personal care is a part of positive working practice as if a client personal care is not cared for in the right manner then the client will have poor health and well-being, and may be disrespected. It is important for a client to have good personal care as this will prevent them from health issues such as fungus infections e.g. athlete foot, toe nail fungus infections etc. Positive working practice with personal care includes aspects such as appropriate touch which includes being clear to the client about why they are using touch, also they have to take into consideration gender and cultural factors when using touch. Personal preference and emotional state this means asking the client how they would prefer to be helped and allow them as much independence in which the staff thinks it is safe. General hygiene, toileting and safety when looking after someone who has limited mobility or has problem balancing, are also elements of positive practice when implementing personal care to a client .Person...
As part of this essay I will focusing on the importance of patient safety and care, maintaining professionalism, reflection of environment and rules and legislation related to the health care body. The reflection of working on the environment will be demonstrated by a personal development profile (PDP).
Good care practice is essential in Health and Social Care and should be delivered by competent skilled care workers. Care workers are required to follow the guidelines specified in the five principles of care practice. The five principles assist the care worker in maintaining a good standard of care, which supports and respects the service users’ rights to appropriate services (K101, Unit 8, P134).
Success can be measured in multiple ways, depending on the person and on the circumstances. I entered into the accelerated nursing program with the goal of successfully completing the required courses and ultimately becoming a successful nurse. This program is very fast-paced and requires a lot of time and effort in order to be successful, so it is important to create a plan in order to successfully complete the program with the appropriate knowledge and skills. Included in my plan for success are multiple strategies that I will apply every day for the duration of this program. My plan is to make my nursing
Many business managers today are not aware to the response that motivation can have on their business. The size of the business is not a factor when considering motivation: whether you’re trying to get full potential from one hundred or an individual everyone is in need of some form of motivation. It is something that is tackled differently by different organisations and the reasonability of its integration lies with all the supervisors of staff. It is essential to understand the various tactics that managers and supervisors will use to motivate there working staff, also why it’s important to initiate extrinsic and intrinsic motivation techniques with the correct work design into the work place for optimum results. “There is only one way…to get anybody to do anything. And that is by making the other person want to do it” Dale Carnegie.
Positive Behaviour Support and Response to Intervention use similar tiered structures, however, their uses differ dependant on the student support required and whether they require behavioural support and or academic support.
Having a system for managing students’ behavior is important for the students and for the teacher. Students need to be acknowledged when they do something well so they can do it again. Even as adults we sometimes need acknowledgement. I know at my job we are always acknowledged when we get a customer to apply for a credit or debit card. If the students are not being acknowledge for their good deeds they wouldn’t want to try harder to do that same behavior again or even try harder. They need a system that challenges them and lets them know what would happen if they behave well. Having an effective system in place also keeps the teacher prepared for certain situations and with a system in place the students will strive to do well so they can receive the benefits of the system in place.
Much of my centered around the ability to work and the ability to be a husband or wife. Through the last three generations, the focus has shifted from education and work. My values and ethics have been given to me though my grandparents.

Workaholics are those who work at the expense of long hours every day without breaks. Being a workaholic is different from those who are a normal hard worker. The former had intense behavior of concerning their work and always to stay till the end of the day to get it finish while the latter has maintained a great quality of working benefits of their families and co-workers. Research had shown more on how being a workaholic isn’t a good sign. The signs that are going to be dealing with is health issues, no breaks, and the denial of being one.
The world loves to see great organizations that are known for their achievement and meeting their goals and putting smiles on other people/patients faces. Healthy work environments make sure that they show each other great communication with whatever they do inside the workplace. It is a good thing for all workers inside of any workplace of health to practice speaking to each other during procedures and especially during any breaks. This together forms special bonds and chemistry. When there is great chemistry between workers, they feel way more comfortable with the decisions and are less likely to make bad decisions or make mistakes because of not feeling like they are doing the right thing. All of this is just a more broad way of saying collaborative relationships, and promote decision making among all nurses is so important. Uncomfortable workers will always feel that they cannot do anything on their own. So most of the time when they do not feel like they can do something on their own they would normally try and leave to get assistance from another worker or just act very hesitant. No patient wants assistance from a worker that doesn’t feel comfortable. So that is why workers should communicate with each other, and not want to feel bothered. Workers would then learn to freely go around and keep the place clean. Sweeping, sanitizing, and being very precautious is what people love to see when stepping in because unhealthy work environments can have adverse consequences on the quality of care delivered as well as nurses intention to leave the profession. Workers wouldn’t want to work in a profession that has an unhealthy work environment because they are just as careful with other people’s lives just as they are with theirs. Unhealthy work environments aren’t the right places to perform work in either. They are not the right places to perform procedures or not
Job performance is a set of interactions that depends on the work situation. For an organization to achieve its own objectives, employees should do their work efficiently. The nature of job performance depends on job requirements, objectives, commissions and thoughts within an organization (Befort & Hattrup, 2003). Job performance is the quantity and quality of work performance. Job performance is the extent that employees’ behaviors cause to organization effectiveness (Phillips, 1998). It is defined as individual effectiveness in achieving organizational goals (Motowidlo, 2003). Job performance is the output of human behaviors and motivation and requirements are effective in people performance (Forss & Foy, 2001).
The process that accounts for an individual's intensity, direction and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal
It's a common misconception that great achievements are merely a result of hard work and luck. In actual fact, a positive attitude is the most critical factor for any success or living a happy, fulfilled life.
“Hard work is the key to success,” is something I heard from my dad almost every day during my child hood. Growing up with a single dad was really the first introduction I had to how important it is to be hard working. During the day he worked. After he got home he cleaned the house, helped with homework, made dinner, and somehow managed to never miss any of our extracurricular activities. Once he put everyone to bed he started on his school work. He would attend late night classes, and sometimes stay up past three just to finish his homework. He did this for seven years to earn his associate’s and bachelor’s degree. I was constantly reminded by him of the importance of hard work, but I never truly understood the meaning of what it is to be hard working
There I was sitting in my eighth grade graduation ceremony ready to be rewarded for the hard work I had put in throughout the whole year. A year of ups and downs, tears, and the words “I can’t” said many times by my biggest obstacle and enemy myself. They say hard work always pays off, or at least that’s what I thought.
