Positive Influence: Hip-Hop Music

Through the past about thirty years, music has evolved into new forms of expressions. Hip-hop has become a world widespread form of communication and it is enjoyed around the world. It is no longer limited to rap and break dancing; in this cultural it represents a multi-billion dollar industry that influences the nation from design and fashion to television and professional sports, mass media marketing and advertising. Hip-hop today is involved in numerous aspects of young people’s lives in addition to sending a lyrical message that influences positive actions. Hip-hop is a positive guide, such as helping to understand what people in the world are going through, gets teens to understand that they are not alone, and writing lyrics along with composing music giving people a voice when they are scared to speak.

All humans live different lives; some grow up without a mother or father, so they turn to music or other activities. Hip-hop music lyrics help individuals understand their situation. "It is though improvisation that music grows naturally from its roots in the young child …" (Pond 2014). For instance, teens start creating their own name at 15 to 17 years of age by writing down their thoughts or problems. They want to tell a story about what they went through, so other; will know that someone has also been through the same situation. In fact, throughout time music has evolved to change aspects of the world and creating more creative thinking.

Understanding that you are not alone is by getting out there in the world and getting involved, although from time to time it is difficult to do. Not everyone goes through the same situations and seems like no one understand what you are going through. On the other hand, many turn to musi...

...eople maybe have never heard. Nevertheless music is still evolving and traveling cross and making an impact on individuals. One day everyone: young, elderly, disabled, delusional, and criminals will know music is a beneficial tool and also a positive motivation.
