Pollution Harming Parisians

Paris, ‘the city of romance' is known for its beauty and cultural diversity. People around the world travel to Paris to explore its exotic architecture including world-class museums, historic landmarks and the symbol of Paris, The Eiffel Tower. Nevertheless, BBC news had reported that Parisians are facing a major problem due to the dramatically rising pollution. It has reached a precarious level that the government must impose major restrictions on car use (Kinver, 2013). This system has been imposed everywhere, deplorably; it certainly made no appreciable difference to pollution levels. Despite, creating problems for those who depend on the car as their usual medium of transport. People are now raising questions about how can the French officials overcome this devastating issue. The element of this problem comes from exhaust gas from vehicle exhaust and sulphur dioxide, mainly produced by industries. The environmental decline for the Parisians leads to serious threats in environment, monuments and lifestyle.

Usage of fuel has proven to be a threat to the environment. It plays a major role in polluting the world. A good example, exhaust gas produced during combustion of fuel. It is true that Paris have more private car drivers that make the city more vulnerable to steep level of smog than any other European cities (Frizell, 2014). Majority of cars in Paris runs on diesel engines. Diesel engines produce a huge amount of fumes, therefore; it is blamed for destroying the French environment. It is ...
