Police Departments are all over the world, and everyday are looking to fill spots for Patrolmen in their department. The whole process of obtaining a job in law enforcement is a long and grueling process. Not only do you have to fill out extensive paperwork, you have to take a physical training test, a psychological evaluation test, an oral interview, meet some common requirements, and then go through the police academy, if you have not done so yet. I will be talking about five basic minimum requirements employed by most police agencies. First, with citizenship to the country you want to be in law enforcement for. Next, with education and how much you need. Then, with prior convictions with how hard it will be to even step foot into a job in law enforcement. Also, having a valid driver’s license is important in ever police department, because you’re going to have to drive a police car. Lastly, is age requirements for most police agencies.
Citizenship to a country is the biggest requirement by a police agency that you are applying to in that country. Citizenship is important to each country, it is a right to have citizenship to a county, and people take pride in their citizenship to their country. Other requirements in other agencies of Law Enforcement was a bachelor’s degree. Education is a big aspect of moving up rank and file in a police department, the more education you have, puts you at a better chance, than someone with minimal education. No one can ever take your education away from you, that’s why it’s best to get as much education as possible. You can never have enough education, there is always room for
