Physical control is the most painful and inhumane way to control the people. According to the film, the white dog has been abused by its own white master since it was a puppy. Its white master hired some black drug addicts and drunkards to beat and abuse the white dog. When the white dog grows up in such an environment, it will tremendously fear of the black people. Whenever it sees a black people, the fear will come to its mind. And thus it will attack and kill the black people. The image of blacks has been a hateful threat and the painful memory to the white dog. If it doesn’t attack or kill him/her, he/she will attack and abuse it. The way for the white dog to consume all of this information and image of the blacks is so passive. It has no channel to judge this information. It learns them from its master. White dog is a victim because it is powerless, and gets hit over and over again just for inciting its hatred towards black people. It is possessed by its white master. It becomes the window where the white master can be able to vent his racism. It is arguable to say that white dog can actually represent those audiences who have lost their insights and the skill of critical thinking for being misled by the media. The white dog reminds me of Jane Elliott 's blue-eyes and brown-eyes experiment. The similarity between the film and the experiment is that both of them show a very clear relationship between the powerful authority and the powerless victim. In the experiment, Jane represents the authority, the power figure and the policy (law) maker. She gives the privileges to one of the two powerless groups, and starts building up the confidence and identity of the group.
