Physical control is the most painful and inhumane way to control the people. According to the film, the white dog has been abused by its own white master since it was a puppy. Its white master hired some black drug addicts and drunkards to beat and abuse the white dog. When the white dog grows up in such an environment, it will tremendously fear of the black people. Whenever it sees a black people, the fear will come to its mind. And thus it will attack and kill the black people. The way for the white dog to consume all of this information and image of the blacks is so passive. It has no channel to judge this information. It learns them from its master. White dog is a victim because it is powerless, and gets hit over and over again just for inciting its hatred towards black people. It is possessed by its white master. It becomes the window where the white master can be able to vent his racism. It is arguable to say that white dog can actually represent those audiences who have lost their insights and the skill of critical thinking for being misled by the media. The white dog reminds me of Jane Elliott 's blue-eyes and brown-eyes experiment. The similarity between the film and the experiment is that both of them show a very clear relationship between the powerful authority and the powerless victim. In the experiment, Jane represents the authority, the power figure and the policy (law) maker. She gives the privileges to one of the two powerless groups, and starts building up the confidence and identity of the group. Through out history we learn of the mistreatment of many different types of people. Several different groups of people have been prosecuted and singled out for many different types of reasons. In recent history, the African Americans and the Jews have been the focus of discrimination. Slavery and the Holocaust were made to make these groups of people feel inferior to those who were in control of them. During these two periods, the people involved were treated like worthless, insignificant human beings. They were brought down to the level of a mouse. In Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass and in Maus, the main characters, Vladek and Frederick, struggle daily to be considered by others as a human. Their struggles show just how humans can be treated like animals, denied the right to an education and haunted by what others have done to them.
The killings made by the slaves are saddening, too. Mutilating the whites and leaving their bodies lying is inhumane. It is such a shocking story. This book was meant to teach the reader on the inhumanity of slavery. It also gives us the image of what happened during the past years when slavery was practised.

Those in need of assistance should use therapy dogs frequently do to the part of the benefits to using these pets to improve mental and emotional health as and physical health. Therapy dogs are beneficial to people who suffer from mental health issues by providing companionship as well as support. Some people with mental health issues have a hard time trusting others and need someone to talk to; Service dogs are important because to make they people with mental health problems feel better and help people with these disorders deal with their emotions.
I’ve always felt that animals are the purest spirits in the world. They don’t fake or hide their feelings, and they are the most loyal creatures on Earth and somehow we humans think we’re smarter. I chose this topic about the canine because, some of these canines risk their life’s to protect dog’s best friend.
Many of the characters in the movie had a stigma about another character/race. For example, Jean assumed that Daniel was in a gang due to his tattoos and baggy clothes. This showed how perception and race can lead people to the wrong conclusion about how people really are. When looking observing Daniel, it does look a little like what people would think a gang member would look like, but in reality Daniel is just a father who just works as a locksmith to support his family and trying to give them the best life they could have. The main cause of the racism and hate toward white people in the black community would have to be the oppression and injustice that the black race went through years ago, and many are still fighting today. Unfortunately, due to the stigmas many white people have the same negative feelings towards other races as well. There were many other subtle forms of race and discrimination in the movie as well. When Daniel could finish fixing Farhads door he thought it was due to Daniel trying to cheat him out of fixing it, but in reality it was out of Daniels control. Farhad felt that he had to protect himself from racist acts to protect himself from harm due to his background. Or how Anthony wont steal from another black man because that it wrong but has no problem stealing from a white man.

Fontaine raced from her bed into the living room to find her three-year old son, Cody Fontaine, savaged by the dogs that were staying temporarily in her house. Tragically, young Cody did not survive the attack. A young life taken, a mother’s life ruined. Sadly, this story is not as uncommon as one of violence against people, they exhibit highly stubborn characteristics that make them difficult to control, and such bans have proven to be extremely effective.
Art Spiegelman’s Maus is a novel about the Vladek and his experience as a Polish Jew during the Holocaust. It narrates the reality of the Holocaust wherein millions and millions of Jews were systematically killed by the Nazi regime. One of the themes in the story is racism which is evident in the employment of animal characters and its relationship with one another.
Breed discrimination against canines is a huge problem and has many factors that determine it. Such factors include breed specific legislation, that individual canine’s past, and the impact of the media. Canines are only mammals and may attack when they feel as if something is threatening them. They are not angels, but with the right training and love, a discriminated breed has the potential to be a great dog and a loving piece that belongs to ones’ family.

Media can hold an immense amount of power as it can distort the manner in which people understand the world. In our society the media creates the dominant ideology that is to be followed for centuries in the classifications of race, gender, and class. Media can be a powerful tool to use to display a message which, is how “…the media also resorts to sensationalism whereby it invents new forms of menace” (Welch, Price and Yankey 36). Media makers and contributors take advantage of the high power that it possesses and begin to display messages of ideologies that represent only one dominant race or gender. It became to be known as the “dominant ideology of white supremacy” for many and all (Hazell and Clarke 6).
Simon Legree, the novel’s epitome of the cruel slaveowner, owns several of the animals. In one scene, Legree tells Tom, while “caressing the dogs with grim satisfaction” at the animals ability to incite fear, "Ye see what ye 'd get, if ye try to run off. These yer dogs has been raised to track niggers; and they 'd jest as soon chaw one on ye up as eat their supper.” This scene is echoed later in the novel when the character of Cassy tells Tom that even “down in the darkest swamps, their dogs will hunt us out, and find us. The owner needs to be in command for the training to be effective; the dog cannot be in charge of himself. Without proper training than socialization will exacerbate any mood an owner has before their dog interacts with others. Socialization, which has importance for the owner because of how much easier it is to take care of something that does not make a nuisance of itself, allows the relationship between the dog and the owner to be stronger. You need to be capable of having guest over without having your dog bouncing on to the first person they see. Dog’s need to be socialized into the new environment they are living in and it is important for the owner to take this initiative because if they do not they may end up with a dog that actually
