I dislike the idea that my job rules my life. Physiatry as a career is said to be very compatible with raising a family and maintaining a relatively social life outside of the office. Obviously, depending on the setting of my practice, the call schedule may vary and being on call may not be as demanding as other specialties. Additionally, I am taken with the idea of being able to use skills obtained through my career in my everyday life. I would be able to help family members and friends with any medical issues with ease. I think I would also enjoy the interactions with patients, seeing as they would make my job more
The road to gaining admission to medical school and becoming a physician is long, difficult, and intensely competitive. Once admitted, however, medical students spend the first two years primarily in laboratories and classrooms learning basic medical sciences. They also learn how to take medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, and recognize symptoms of diseases. During their third and fourth years, the medical students work under supervision at teaching hospitals and clinics. Following medical school, new physicians must complete a year of internship that emphasizes either general medical practice or one specific specialty and provides clinical experience in various hospital services. Physicians then continue in residency training, which lasts an additional three to six years, depending on the specialty. Immediately after residency, they are eligible to take an examination to earn board certification in their chosen specialty. Most traditional specialties include the following: anesthesiologist, cardiologist, dermatologist, family practitioner, gastroenterologist, internist, neurologist, oncologist, pathologist, psychiatrist, pulmonologist, and urologist

These physicians can include physical therapists, athletic trainers, and strength and conditioning coaches. It is just dependant on if the good outweighs the bad. In this case, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Being a physical therapist has its major pros, but also cons. When one is looking into a career field, one of the first things they may look at is the salary. Physical therapists make on average about eighty-one thousand dollars per year. Of course, that depends on years of experience, level of education, and such factors. Another pro is an increase in job opportunities. In a world where technology is constantly getting better and smarter, people's jobs are getting taken away by machines that can do the task faster and better. Luckily, physical therapy is not something that can be done by a robot. So, there is always going to be a demand for physical therapists which makes it easier to find a job. A final pro is that you can gain knowledge on health and science. This is big because an education can get you anywhere and knowledge is the most powerful weapon anyone could ever have because it can get you so far and nobody can take it away from you. Of course like any other job, it can come with its cons or bad side. But, it is up to you whether or not you will let that affect you and your practice. There are very few people who enjoy going to school. If you do not, physical therapy is not
but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it. Sports medicine involves athletes who are constantly training to be in the best physical shape they can be in. It involves athletes with rehabilitation and supplements that they can take to help either recover faster or to help them perform better on their playing field. A lot of high caliber athletes such as olympians are involved in sports medicine, because it is able to get you back into your sport, faster and with less likelihood of re-injury.

The identity of a physical therapist is essentially an expert in movement. In order to optimize patient movement, a strong foundation of biomechanical knowledge is required. Physical therapists are health care professionals that provide therapeutic services to their patients who have temporary or chronic physical conditions that were caused from injury or disease.
