The Advance of eBusiness
A major societal change that has resulted from the web is the proliferation of businesses on the web (eBusiness). Businesses on the web can be classified into two types: those who have physical stores outside of the web (like Gap) and those that were created for the sole purpose of functioning through the web (like eBay). According to Marshall McLuhan, in his book Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man, “once a new technology comes in a social milieu it cannot cease to permeate that milieu until every institution is saturated” (241). I believe this is exactly what the web has done to American and international societies. The web has saturated nearly every aspect of life including education, leisure, communication, and most specifically, business and commerce. The rapid increase in on-line businesses has created the availability of any products one could possibly imagine. More than likely, if you cannot find what you are looking for in a store, you can find it on the web. In addition, many businesses that were once successful without the web, have now come to dominate the new domain of web sales. As it states in Principles of Web Design, powerful corporations like AT&T, Disney, and Microsoft have expanded their business opportunities to the web and have successfully come to dominate business (106).
Positive Aspects of eBusiness
There are many positive and negative consequences of the proliferation of businesses on the web. From a positive ...

The Seattle Seahawks located in Seattle Washington, is one of the top teams in the NFL. The Seahawks were founded in 1976 and are owned by Paul Allen. The Seattle Seahawks haven't had it easy, it's been rough ride throughout the years. There have been many coaches and many players have passed through the Seattle team. There are some very special people that the Seahawks truly treasure that aren’t players or coaches out on the field. They treasure the 12th man. This allusive 12th man isnt a player out on the field, it's the fans. Even though the 12th man spirit didn't start in Seattle they are loud and proud about it. Seattle has some of the loudest fans in the league. They are so loud that they get earthquake readings at Century Link Stadium, they call the earthquake reading "Beast Mode." This season(2013-2014) they have a very tough lineup, they have "Beast Mode"aka Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, Golden Tate and the amazing coach Pete Carroll. The Seattle Seahawks have been a very successful team in the 2013-2014 season. The Seahawks have a strong defense which has been a key part in their success this year. The Seahawk’s offense hasn’t been bad this year either. They have some very strong player that contribute to their success. Their offense includes: #3 quarterback Russell Wilson, #24 running back “beast mode” Marshawn Lynch, #89 wide reciever 1 Doug Baldwin and #81 wide reciever 2 Golden “Showtime” Tate. Without this strong offense and strong defense the Seahawks wouldn’t be where they are today.
Many football fans may not know that the first super bowl in 1967, was not officially named Super Bowl I. The third super bowl game, played in 1969, became the first officially titled “Super Bowl” game. In the previous two years the championship game was titled “AFL-NFL World Championship Game”.(Packers Beat) Many fans would ultimately agree that the title “Super Bowl” is a much more riveting name to the game then its previous title.
The Super Bowl is a cultural phenomenon that involves many contributing factors. In the past, society targeted the entertainment aspect of the Super Bowl: leaving the importance of players stories unrecognized. The Super
Women are always searching for the right shoe. There are so many different styles, types, colors, and even heights. To me the two most common types are high heels and flats. Well, at least in today’s fashion those are the two most common. Both, if paired with the correct outfit are simply stunning. High heels offer a sexier look that’s nearly impossible to get from a flat shoe. Nevertheless, I feel very strongly about women in high heels. They make your legs look longer, butt look better, and they are sexier than flats. On the other hand, if you’re running around and being busy all day, nothing feels better than a cute pair of flats. Its time we hit the ground running as we explore the real similarities and differences of the two common types of shoes, in which I mean comfort, styles, and versatility.
Some of this equipment includes soft ballet shoes and pointe shoes. A pointe shoe, which is one key element of ballet, is a shoe used by dancers to dance on the tips of their toes. However, intense training is necessary to learn and maintain the skills for this kind of dance. The first pointe dancers used a regular soft shoe to go en pointe, thus the technique was used sparsely due to its difficulty. Later on, the first pointe shoes were made, but they only came in one size. The pointe shoe, which has been perfected over the years, now provides a sturdy base for the dancer’s feet. Despite this, almost all dancers require padding for their toes, medical tape to minimize blisters, and/or other products used to lessen the stress on the feet while dancing. Additionally, each pointe shoe is handmade. When a dancer gets a new pair of pointe shoes, they must sew the elastic and ribbon onto the shoe themselves and “break in” the shoe. Breaking in a pointe shoe prepares it for dancing by making it more pliable and comfortable. After sewing the ribbon and breaking in a shoe, the pointe shoe is ready to be used
During the last decade, we’ve been to the top of the world—during the dot-com boom of the late 1990s—and back down again, when it all fell apart a few years later. But with the bad came the good: The Web forever changed the business world. The following small-business owners are shining examples of how Web-based technologies can be a businessperson’s best friend.
The rise of the Internet in the last decade has brought about a new form of business that has revolutionized the way in which the companies of today operate. There are many possible explanations for the rise of this form of business in society, and all of these explanations are debatable. The rise of digital information and information technology has created a powerful tool that mutually enables consumers and companies to bring about the transformation of traditional capitalism. Companies such as eBay, an online auction site, have created a virtual marketplace for the collectivity of buyers and sellers, improving the dynamics of capitalism. These companies leverage the accessibility, efficiency and information-richness of electronic commerce using the Internet as a tool for the transmission of information. The capitalistic system remains constant in the traditional physical market place, as well as on the Internet; the difference lies in the efficiency of information transmission.
What's in a shoe? Perhaps it was originally intended to protect one's feet from the elements but today the shoe has evolved from its practical origins to grandiose heights, and at the highest level is of course, the high heel. Heels are not something one simply wears on their feet, but a passion, hobby, personal expression, source of authority, sexual independence, staple of gendered feminine culture, mark of flaunted femininity, psychologically empowering, and joy. Women choose to wear high heels for many reasons; the key is that they indeed are the ones who proactively choose to endorse the high heel, often at the expense of their own physical com...

Heels have a long history and change their image very frequently. Heels are the type of shoes that make shorter people look and feel tall. Heels come in many styles such as wedges, stilettos, chunky heels, and regular skinny heels. Heels are very popular among women because they give them a sense of confidence. Wearing heels make women stand up tall and straight and strut on to their destination. This year the most popular heels are thigh high heels. Thigh high heels are heels that can either be chunky or skinny with fabric that reaches the thigh. These types of heels come in many different colors, textures, and styles such as suede, denim, and lace-ups. Shoes are not only worn to protect the human feet. They are also worn because they add the final touch to the style you are trying to create. The history of shoes is very long and nobody really knows when the first shoes were created but we do know that they were originally made to warm the feet. Now, there are many different types and each kind helps you function a different way. The shoe is also made up of many parts and every kind of shoe has different parts then other types. Year by year, shoes have been improving and becoming more and more popular. Now, we have all the equipment and all the materials we need to make the shoe better than ever.
The Internet was not opened for commercial interest until 1995. It was at this point that the potential power of the Internet would be discovered. Today's Internet reaches nearly every corner of the earth. It has, in my opinion, changed the way individuals, institutions, corporations, and governments conduct day-to-day business/operations. One can surmise that the Internet has contributed considerably to the globalization of the world's economy. The Internet has provided a medium for thousands of companies and millions of individuals to join the global market place. Amazon.com and EBay.com are just a couple of the companies that were born from the development of the Internet. Amazon.com conducts business all over the world, selling millions of books each year without having one single retail store. All book sale transactions are conducted entirely on the Internet.
