Pharmacy is my passion. It all started the summer of my 7th-grade year in middle school, right before it was time for me to enter 8th grade. I had just finished participating in the Summer Science Program at Nova Southeastern University. My attendance at this summer school made me realize that Physics, Astrology, and Engineering were not meant for me. Medicine was the best way to go. As I researched further into occupations in the medical field, I learned that I did not want to practice medicine, but to create and distribute it. The pharmaceutical aspect has captured my attention. Being the first generation College Student, I have aspirations greater than my tribulations. My objectives in life started to evolve as my family grew furthered down below the poverty line. I went from stealing candy and selling it to other kids at school, to charging other kids for doing their homework. In the 22 years, I have been on this earth, I have learned that my mind is my greatest asset and the key my success is exercising and excelling my knowledge so that I can execute my dreams. …show more content…

As a 3rd Year Doctorate of Pharmacy Student, I strive to become a Research Pharmacist. I plan to use my knowledge in chemistry and apply my devotion to helping others, to assist patients in the best manner I know how. This will be done by studying as effectively as I can to ensure I retain all the information and use it to the best of my knowledge. Being raised at the bottom of the poverty line in a family of seven in a single parent home; I have seen several women and children turn down medical care because they lack the funds. Respectfully, peering towards a strong mother cry as they take three buses to get to the one free clinic in town. I am very familiar with this
