I have always taken pride from working with people and supporting them in whichever way I can. I believe that I have an enquiring mind, an interest in people and patience, which are all skills required to be able to communicate well with patients, carers and colleagues as a pharmacist. Therefore, I believe a career in Pharmacy would help me pursue this ambition. I am well aware that providing service and caring can apply to a number of careers, not just in healthcare. However, I enjoy a challenge and would relish upon the continuous learning that Pharmacy provides; although I acknowledge it is a tough career, I feel it would be enormously rewarding for me.

Healthwatch Tower Hamlets is an organisation for health and social care in Tower Hamlets, who are independent from the NHS and the local authority. Healthwatch mainly promotes and supports local people, especially those who have a hard time getting their voices heard, to have a say about the way their local health and social care services are designed and run. As a member of this organisation, I did administrative duties including: answering and making phone calls competently to GP practices, Pharmacies etc to endorse Healthwatch, so they too can spread the word. Moreover, I was given the opportunity to go to events, especially its launch event, where I helped to promote awareness of this respected UK charity to the general public. This has allowed me the opportunity to engage with people from all walks of life and tackle situations, which I have not dealt with before. This experience alone has allowed me to develop, mature as a person and gain confidence, as well as raising my interpersonal skills, which I believe are crucial attributes to become a
