Have you ever had a dream where you’re running from person to person begging for help but each either ignores you or pulls away? Have any of you had this happen in real life? I can think of a few minor accounts. Like if my sister uses my memory card and never gives it back, and I need it the next day. If I ask her to help she gives me a look like “you’re the biggest idiot in the world.” I really hate that look. So I start to yell and scream. Which takes a bit before she gets off her butt and helps. I feel that the dumbfounded look and not caring is what Colin Wilson was saying. I’m going to be talking about what I think this quote means. People are really like sheep someone gets the guts to call themselves a leader. Then they get the people close to them to do the same trend. Much like a few years ago when these different shaped rubber bands where all around people’s wrist you were considered cool. Well a little cooler then you were now a day, no one really cares about the rubber bands. So many people want to feel they can get up so they do crazy stupid things. There is a song I really like to listen to its called “try” it’s about being who you are. You don’t need the makeup and you don’t need to spend all the money you have on brand name close. You have to learn to like yourself. That concept is really hard. To be honest I hate the person I am it’s not the person I wish I could be. I hate being this super shy girl with depression, who’s over weight so lots of us including myself try to look like the super models and the TV stars. “No one wants to see a fat model” was said in a TV show. Sometimes all we see is the flaws so to grow over them we try to hide them with the things that everyone is doing. Sometimes it’s hard for us to get the things we want so re resort to different means of cool. Like drinking or doing drugs that can be considered cool or other feel you’re cool. "The average man is a conformist, accepting miseries and disasters with the stoicism of a cow standing in the rain." -Colin Wilson. This is a quote that should be thought about. So for those who live in the box and for the people who live outside the box should really take a look and think about how this quote applies to them in their life. So take a moment and think and write down how you feel. Maybe in a journal. Journals are really good to have they are kind of like a family history book maybe down the line your kids and their kids could read this and it could help
