Imagine, your pet, or a harmless animal put in chains scared and alone, just waiting to be poked and prodded for some senseless experiment. This may seem like a horrible story to you, but the sad truth is that this is happening right now. Animal testing needs to be stopped because, wounds are inflicted upon animals, it is used in big brand names, and lastly, the animals are subjected to stress and fear non stop. For the reasons above, animal testing is horrible, mortifying, just plain evil, and should be banned as soon as possible. For instance, animal testing should be banned because constant wounds are being inflicted on the animals. The NEAVS, (New England Anti Vivisection Society) claims that “In research and testing, animals are subjected to experiments that can include everything from testing new drugs to infecting with diseases, poisoning for toxicity testing, burning skin, causing brain damage, implanting electrodes into the brain, maiming, blinding, and other painful and invasive procedures.” In the United States of America, animal abuse is a federal crime, and punishable by federal prison. A claim by PETA states that “Undercover footage shows the animals cowering in fear every time someone walks by their cage, and they are thrown back in their cage with no pain killers whatsoever.” Another quote by the Huffington Post says that, “Imagine you are a monkey in a laboratory and a person dressed in a white coat walks into the room with a catching net. How do you think you would react?
