“Space exploration is a force of nature unto itself that no other force in society can rival,” quoted directly from Neil deGrasse Tyson. What many see as admirable about this quote is about how true and accurate this statement is. When it comes to space exploration, it is a “force of nature unto itself that no other force in society can rival” since there seems to a want and need, especially with other countries, that want to work together for when it comes to the greater good. The beauty that comes with space exploration intent would be the correlation between many branches of many countries that tread on the same path towards one true goal. There is an awkwardness when viewing this correlation since there are several rival countries, and …show more content…

It is rather interesting since how they decided to approach this ultimate goal that both of the leading names in space exploration have. NASA has been working on the Orion Multi Purpose Crew Exploration Vehicle for several years. Their intent in creating this vehicle would be they have the thought process of not only succeeding for the mission that is on hand, but to make sure that when something goes awry, that there is an assurance for the safety of the crew, and that the exploration vehicle has a fighting chance for their safety. Not only that, their accomplishments are quite astonishing considering that their funding is dictated by congress. As for SpaceX, they have the upper edge currently since they specialize in advanced rocket technology after all. Even though their entire basis is developing advanced rocket technology, that does not mean they do not have a crew exploration vehicle being developed as well, in which case they have. SpaceX has not spent an abnormal amount of time in prototyping and building this variation of the Dragon space capsule. The version of this capsule is technically called Dragon V2. Overall, this capsule is really just a Dragon V1 capsule that has been adapted to host a crew of seven for when it comes to space exploration. According to Elon Musk, and referencing an article from space.com about the Dragon V2 unveiling, it hopefully will fufill its purpose of maybe landing humans on Mars. Similar to the Orion spacecraft, it has been subjected to rigorous evaluations to determine its effectiveness and efficiency as a spacecraft. Nonetheless, before they reach these ambitious goals of theirs, there has to obviously be failures and many different iterations of the systems, and also spacecraft that are precursors to what is currently present to this modern
