Every day in America people stand outside of abortion clinics, protesting the murder of innocent babies. People will block entrances, bring signs, and sometimes even go to drastic measures like shooting or bombing these clinics to stop women from entering and terminating their pregnancies. One could say that the protestors are in the wrong, but maybe the women are the ones at fault instead. They were the ones who got pregnant, so they should take full responsibility and care for their child, not get rid of it. Even if these women were raped or have complications in their pregnancies, they should still keep their child because obviously they ended up pregnant because of their own careless mistakes, and that child is more important than the …show more content…
First of all, there would be no more murdering innocent babies. Women would have no way to get an abortion legally, so they would be more careful with themselves and take responsibility if they do end up pregnant. There might even be less pregnancies if birth control is banned! (SARCASM) Additionally, there would also be more people if abortion was banned. The population would increase quite a bit if women were unable to terminate pregnancies, leading to a slight boost in the population. (UNDERSTATEMENT) This increase of people would lead to more workers, more ideas, and in general just add more people to contribute to society. Even if the kids were raised by a mother who did not want them originally, and has no career or schooling, surely they would still grow up to be very successful and benefit everyone. …show more content…
If a woman becomes pregnant, then she should decide what happens to her own child and her own body, it should not be up to the rest of the world to decide for her. Nobody gets an abortion for fun, and nobody uses it as a backup plan. If a woman wants to get an abortion, then it is because she is probably scared, or is sure that she can not provide a good life for the child she is pregnant with. Nobody knows the circumstances for every abortion, and sometimes that is truly the best thing for a child, especially one that may be guaranteed to not live past birth, or to have intense medical problems its whole life, or that may be born from a situation of rape, which would be a constant reminder to the mother every day of what happened to her. All in all, regardless of what anybody thinks about abortion, I feel that the whole process and decision is only the woman 's business and nobody else’s, and I hope that people start to realize that one
If abortion was illegal except in cases of incest, rape, and that leads to mass unsafe world of many women vulnerable. This means if a rape allegation is proven to be consensual the woman would be forced to carry
How would you feel if someone took away your ability to live and have a future? You wouldn't have the opportunity to crawl, take your first step, have your first kiss, or experience those butterflies in your stomach at the sight of first love. Millions of special moments, a life, shredded to pieces. This is essentially what abortion does. Abortion is not the answer in the case of an unplanned pregnancy and needs to be stopped! First of all, abortion is a type of unnecessary murder that occurs in inhumane ways and cannot be tolerated. Moreover, there are alternatives to abortion and many families who are looking to adopt. Lastly, the side effects of abortion can cause life threatening health risks to the mother. Excuses will always be made, but the bottom line is that abortion is not acceptable and should be stopped.
In conclusion, abortion is possible one of the most controversial topics in the world today. The aspects of abortion spread from religion, to ethics, to medical, to legal, and so on. I believe that there will never be any one correct or decisive answer to abortion. I assume it will change with the changing times as it has in the past, and as it will in the future. My opinion is what some would call “Riding the fence.” I believe that a woman does have control of her body to a certain extent, that extent is the beginning of the third trimester. If a child is carried for six months and beyond, I think abortion is considered murder, and anything before that is up to the person carrying that fetus.
Why should any woman be denied the choice to do what she wants with her own body? Women should have the control to decide what is best for their own body without the interference of the government’s laws. Making abortion legal can save and protect the lives of the pregnant woman and unborn fetus. The abortion procedure can help a woman’s life by saving her from financial stress, difficult responsibilities, risky health concerns, emotional disturbances and it also corresponds with the law . The procedure helps the unborn fetus by preventing an irregular health, emotional, and social development.
When it comes to abortion I believe that it should always be left up to the woman to make the decision on whether to keep her baby or not. Having a baby is no eas...
For some, abortion is a touchy subject like politics and religion. In America, abortion has always been a controversial topic of discussion. The Supreme Court in the case Roe vs Wade case set the way of guidelines and the right for women to have an abortion if she chooses. In 2015 abortions is still an ongoing debate amongst religious groups, politicians and normal citizens. People that are for the rights of women to abort are often criticized and ridiculed for standing up for their personal beliefs. There are people who have conditioned their minds to think that women should not be allowed to have abortions if she was not raped or a result of incest, which I strongly disagree with that type of thinking. However, it is the law of the land, it is a women’s right to choose and she has to live with the psychological effects of her choice.
How would you feel if someone took away your ability to live? How would you feel if you were never given the chance to come into the world and contribute to the human race? These are some of the questions an individual needs to ask when considering having abortion. Abortion, in my opinion, is immoral and unjust simply because it is murder. A brutal murder of a being who has not even seen the world and a huge injustice to a helpless fetus who might have been the next Einstein, President, or the person who would find a cure to cancer. Morality says that every person has the right not to be unjustly killed. Hence, this right also apply to any unborn child. The thought of an individual killing his/her own unborn child is always lurking in the back of my mind because it’s hard to assert the harm being caused by the unborn child to the mother or to the society in general. If we say abortion is morally right, then we are against procreation and procreation is one of the major contributions of a human being to his or her society and the world at large. The act of procreation is one of the most beautiful things in the world. To make a human being, being able to watch that kid grow into an adult and actually be responsible to the society, should be a very fulfilling experience for any mother. I hereby oppose the principle of paternalism because I don’t believe it is moral to take away or destroy the life of an unborn child to save the life of the mother because there is no harm caused by the unborn child but I support the harm principle because abortion in general, causes harm to the unborn child, his future, the mother and the society. Therefore, I subscribe to Don Marquis view on Abortion in his article “Why abortion is immoral”.
Today, abortion has become one of the greatest controversies throughout the world. The debate on whether or not abortion should become a legal option continues to dismember not only Americans, but citizens of other countries. There are people who believe abortion is a women’s civil right, and those who consider it as an immoral act. There are those who believe personhood begins at birth, and those who believe personhood begins from the moment of conception. Many contradictory statements lead to the separation of two groups: pro-choice and pro-life. While a pro-choice supports a women’s “right to privacy”, pro-life supporters are against such an action considering it murder, but why force a female to go through such a dramatic change because of a pregnancy?
As I was doing research, I came across an article by Napolitano and I found a startling statistic:
Abortion is a very controversial topic and when it comes to this issue they should be at happy medium place where everybody could be OK with the idea. I understand both views, which is why I cannot just choose one side over the other because each side have valid points. Each situation is different for each person so we cannot make a decision based on how a group of people feels. In conclusion I believe that only have the right to choose what she feels like is best for her to do, but I also believe in taking accountability and understanding that there 's always going to be a reaction to every action
In my Opinion, abortion violates a person’s right to life. No one have right to play with another life. If a woman chooses to have sex, she is doing in her own
Abortion has been a controversial topic in the U.S ever since it became legal in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade case. Abortion is defined as the, “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Pro-life supporters believe that abortion is unethical and argue that it is the mother’s responsibility to own up to her actions. They also argue that there is always the option of adoption, and that abortion could be very dangerous. I am pro-life and believe that the government doesn’t have the right to decide what a woman can or can’t do with her body.
Many people have their own opinions on abortion, that a fetus is a human being with a right to live so abortion is similar to murder. While other groups argue that a woman has certain rights, especially the choice whether to bring another life into the world. The groups that are for it think that abortion gives women the control over their own bodies, which it is their choice when and whether to have children or giving an option to choose to bring or not to bring a child with abnormalities to the world. Some children are born with severe disorders and some parents, being unable to care for their disabled child seek abortion as their one and only option because taking care of a child, especially born with abnormalities is tough work to do as a parent, so they decide whether bring a life into the world. They look ahead on what is best for them, and it is selfish. Or even having in mind that some do not want to become a single parent taking up two roles; a mother and father and they feel like every child should come into the world feeling wanted, loved and cared for. Another reason some women have an abortion is because they do not want to stop work or schooling, and these reasons are consistent across many countries, including America. Other reasons are because of societal pressures, women get little to no social support. But
It is saddening to see humans of the female gender, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing a new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then discarded after the abortion procedure. One cannot fathom the reason of these gruesome murders that happens within these medical facilities. Babies are disposed in the red waste bins of these facilities, and later incinerated. Some may either be flushed down garbage disposals or even be sold off for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not just a social one, but also a human rights issue among the unborn children. I believe if the human rights of these children has been violated, then all other rights of humans are certainly meaningless.
A person being pregnant and wishing they weren't is probably the worst feelings a woman can have. A women knowing that if they brought a child into the world and they didn't want it, or they would have to give it up for adoption is such a disheartening way to start off, and mother and the un-born child would be so much better off if they were to terminate the pregnancy and wait for a more appropriate time, or in the case of rape, put the past behind them and move on. Women should have the choice because not everyone knows what the situation was. In today’s society people have attached shame with the word abortion. When people hear of abortions they automatically assume it was the mothers fault and she didn’t use protection or may...
