There are two types of space shuttles. The first type includes space shuttles that are air-worthy. An example of an airworthy space shuttle is Enterprise, which was used for a series of flying and landing approach tests to see how well the shuttle maneuvered during the landing. The other type of space shuttles are the space worthy which include the space shuttle Discovery, Challenger, Atlantis, Endeavour, and Columbia which had many missions. Some of the major mission consisted of launching multiple satellites and interplanetary objects, conducting space science experiments, and the construction of space stations.
