Sixty-one years ago the world would never accept anyone from the LGBT community. They were dealing with unjust behavior every time they were seen in public. But in the last 20 years more people are coming out “the closet”, there has been many protest and gatherings, and Laws have been enforced to help the growth of the LBGT community. “When all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love, we are all more free” (Barrock Obama). It shouldn’t matter who a person decides to love, everybody should be treated equally. There has been many of protest and gatherings of the LGBT community after certain events has help with the growth of the community. This Act would provide protection from any anti-discrimination of LGBT, this includes employment, housing, credit, education, and jury services (Hrc.org). Due to this Act any member of the LGBT community is able to get a job, education, and housing and should not be restricted because of who they love. LGBT will be allowed the same protection as any other free citizen under the law. Congress also launched the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus. Congress is strongly committed to making sure that all people who consider themselves as gay, Lesbian, or transgendered all around the world are protected (polish.house.gov). Lesbians, Gays, and transgendered are denied their right most American enjoy. So these Laws that are enforced gives them the freedom to do so. On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court rule to legalize same sex marriage. No State would be allowed to ban the new same sex marriage policy (Cnn.com).
