Persuasive Essay On Thanksgiving

I propose that giving a thanksgiving basket to a low-income/needy family at an Inspire Development Center would be a great. A gift like that to a family that might not be able to have a special dinner on thanksgiving would highly appreciate the people that worked together to put this great event together. Thanksgiving is a day where as a family; everyone is united, having a special dinner surrounded by loved ones, but for a needy family that may not be the case. Families should be able to enjoy a basket full of food with their whole family and give thanks to the special hands that created them and made it possible for them to have a special dinner on Thanksgiving.
Problems
This proposal is to help a needy family during Thanksgiving this year.

I know that if this event does happen due to funding issues that I am having, it will have a big impact on the Inspire community; the families will greatly appreciate everything. As a nonprofit organization, we have a few sources of funding and right now they are operating in a five year grant. I cannot get my funding from the agency for the reason that they do not have the budget for it, which is why it has been hard finding different organizations to help me create these Thanksgiving baskets. My personal strength would have to be not to give up too easily and try every grocery store we have in our community and hope that eventually some businesses will help me fund this event, which will take place in November. If this event does not happen, all due to funding issues, I do not plan to give up; I will try my best for those families to have a dinner this Thanksgiving. A plan I have thought of for funding issues in making a donation box for canned food items, the canned food items will help in making these Thanksgiving baskets for the families. I would put a donation box on campus for the student to donate cans and also at the Inspire Sunnyside II center for staff to donate some as

While doing this event my job will not be at risk, I am doing this for a good cause. My career will be affected in a good way considering that social workers do this quite often, helping families in every way possible by finding resources they will benefit from. I will be known in my workplace for being willing to make a difference in a family’s life, while giving them a basket of food for Thanksgiving.
Evaluation
I would like to continue this event the reason being that I know it will make a difference in a family. I understand that it will be hard to find funding, but I know that somehow I will be able to get enough donations and will have these baskets ready for the families this Thanksgiving.
Innovative Idea This event has not been done before, but there have been similar events to it at the Inspire center. This is a new idea and if it is a success then I am sure that this event would happen more times during the next years, all if there is funding found for
