They are known for their foul language and dirty lyrics which veers music lovers away from their type of music. Machine Gun Kelly is not one of those rappers. He has more depth to his music, it is inspiring and shouldn’t be taken lightly. The song “A Little More” by Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) featuring Victoria Monet should be more appreciated by listeners because they sing about bullying, social inequality, and worldwide issues. There is always someone being bullied and people just standby while it happens. That bullying can turn into that person turning to suicide and self-harm. Suicide and self-harm use to not be recognized as often years ago. But now, suicide and self-harm is starting to become more recognized, especially in school where people are starting to be aware of bullying and how it affects students. “A girl committed suicide after she was bullied at school, cause some dudes told her she wasn’t cool” (Kelly, 2015). In our society there are few people who will help bullied people these days, but when they do try to they may be the only ones and feel like they failed when there isn’t anything they can do. Social inequality has become a greater problem throughout the years as well. In today’s society, people who are richer do not have as many penalties than those who are poor. For example, if a person tends to be more on the richer side, they can afford a better lawyer which in turn can help them out of tough situations. People who are lower on the totem pole will not always get the same privilege. They simply would not be able to afford the best lawyer, if one at all.
