“Innocent child killed” is the headline most Americans seem to see now a days in the news involving police officers. Unfortunately many people are seeing all officers in a bad light because of actions that might be made from one ill-mannered officer. Police brutality is a major issue effecting not only the police but the people too. “Police brutality is the use of excessive and/or unnecessary force by police when dealing with civilians” (Danilina). People of all genders, ethnicities and ages are beginning to fear the police rather than trust them because of this issue. And lastly, begin testing for past and present psychological issues which may impact an officer’s decision making later on. Cameras have become a large debate in the fight against brutality for the main reason of privacy. It was said by Richard D. Emery that police themselves and other public figures should not expect privacy. They are always in sight and every action of an officer can be seen whether they are aware of it or not.
