There are a lot of dangerous diseases in the world, some are more dangerous than others but it is important to know about the ones that can affect you. When it comes to these diseases you want to know more about them so you can protect yourself. In today’s society STDs have become a major issue. HIV/AIDS, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Herpes, the list goes on and on (Planned Parenthood). So with all of these STDs you need to be aware of the symptoms and understand what it is and what it does so you can protect yourself.

They also go on to say, “Two HPV types (16 and 18) cause 70% of cervical cancers and precancerous cervical lesions.” The most common forms of cancer caused by HPV are cervical cancers, anal cancer, vaginal, vulvar, and penile cancers, and have been seen to cause oropharyngeal cancer (National Cancer Institute). Some are more common than others and they are also less dangerous. Cervical cancer is the most common type of cancer caused by HPV. Warts are strong indications that you might have HPV. A common wart formed from HPV is genital warts. In women, the warts will be located around the vulva, anus, cervix, and vagina. In men they will be located penis, anus, or the scrotum. According to Mayo Clinic their appearance will consist of, “wise flat lesions, small cauliflower-like bumps or tiny stem-like protrusions.” The warts usually do not cause any discomfort or pain. However they can sometimes itch (Mayo Clinic).
The two most dangerous types of HPV do not cause warts. The Center for Disease control reported that the more deadly strands, “cause normal cells in the body to turn abnormal, and might lead to cancer over time. These HPV types can cause Cervical Cancer,” and the other types previously stated. Cervical Cancer does not have any symptoms until it reaches its more advanced stages. The CDC recommends, “It is important for women to get regular screening for cervical cancer. Screening tests can find early signs of disease so that problems can be treated early, before they ever turn into
