Earth is facing a huge issue today which is called pollution which continues to an increase in pollution by the day. Green design is one way to help reduce this issue. Putting green design to use can be more expensive and hard to obtain compared to buying and using products that are made of virgin materials. Failure to do so will exhaust our resources and that we could lose the ability to making good products or materials. Can be more costly, the idea of green design is very beneficial to the planet in one of many ways because it can improve in the environment, economic, and social lifestyle.

Poor indoor environmental quality resulting from insufficient air circulation, poor lighting, mold build up, temperature variances, carpeting and furniture materials, pesticides, and high concentration of pollutants outcome directly to respiratory problems, headaches, allergies, and nausea. Green building brings attention to ventilation, and low emitting materials that create healthier and more comfortable living and working environments. Green design will use more natural lighting into their buildings instead of the traditional light bulbs, thus effecting on social health. According to Beauchemin and Hays (1996) found that patients in sunny rooms stayed in the hospital fewer days than those in dimly lit rooms. E85 has an opposite effect to the environment instead it releases more ozone to the atmosphere compared to traditional fuel even though it 's naturally settled in upper atmosphere the release of more ozone can affect cities by increasing air pollution that already have issues with smog if it concentrates in the lower atmospheres(Schiller,2013). As green design has benefits in the economic side, the common disadvantage is the additional cost. The main reason on why it 's a bit more expensive is that materials still aren 't available everywhere and sourcing furniture, fixtures, and materials is more work (Mckeough,2011). Since the unavailability of eco-friendly materials are imported this will increase the price, although having to spend extra on the additional cost early on due to start saving money on energy consumption it 's usually balanced out by the energy savings in the long run. Another disadvantage on green buildings is taking out loans to purchase them. Lenders might not be too familiar with green buildings since their designs aren 't too traditional with other buildings and widely known to the public.
