There are many phenomenon’s as to why people find golf boring or lethargic. I am going to lay out for you, a few critical points on how to change your perspective on the trials of golf. The critical steps in becoming a good golfer are what people tend to overlook, or they try too hard and become frustrated and give up. The ever-changing mentality, evaluating the swing, and finally playing the hole are the three key things to potentially having a more positive outlook on the game of golf. To start off, Now, we come to the tee-box where we put our stretching and breathing into effect creating the positive mentality, followed by a few quick practice swings. You then tee-up the ball, making sure the ball is lined up with the center of the face of the club. Then, you line up your shot and swing away, sending the ball flying down the middle of the fairway, creating a sense of euphoria. Next, we approach our second shot, making sure to choose the correct club according to the distance from the green. Once again, you line up your shot and swing, letting the ball coast and land on the green, as close to the hole as you possibly could. Now, comes the trickiest part which is reading the green. You grab your putter, then step back and squat, all the time trying to visualize the ball path. You, determine then were you should line up your putt depending on the break which is in the ball path. You step up to the ball, line up your putt, and swing your arms like a clock pendulum. The ball sinks into the hole sending you into a jumping fit of excitement. First, take the golf tee and insert it into the ground with the needle-like bottom down. Then, place the golf ball on the platform of the tee. The tee should be set at a height of comfort for the golfer. The size of the driver head, or part that comes into contact with the ball during a swing, should be taken into consideration because the middle of the ball should be struck with the sweet spot, or middle of the clubface.

Developing my swing is the first step I use in preparing for the upcoming season. There are a few different techniques I use to work on my swing. The first way is to take hitting lessons. I learn much of my knowledge about hitting from taking hitting lessons. My usual routine consists of taking lessons three times a week. This allows me to be evaluated by a professional. I took hitting lessons from the same coach for five straight years. His teachings have helped me become a much better hitter. Another way I develop my swing is by practicing daily. Even though I take hitting lessons, I still need more work. I am lucky enough to have access to a facility that has hitting cages. This allows me to work in the winter and during inclimate weather. By going to work on my swing on my own, I am able to work on the skills that my hitting instructor has taught me. This seems like it would take a long time, but it does not. I carefully plan out my time, and this allows me to use my time wisely. I allot times to work different aspects of my swing. By doing this, I am able to cover all aspects of my swing. I also videotape my swing, and this allows me to view myself afterwards. Since I videotape my practice sessions, I can go over my sessions afterwards. I have caught and fixed many mistakes my carefully watching my swing on the recordings. Developing my swing is the first of three main steps I use in preparing for the upcoming season.

Lastly, eliminating thoughts that judge of condemn golfers is useful to changing negative self-talk to positive self-talk. Praise is the best way to program your unconscious mind. Self-talk requires golfers to start listening to and addressing the voices inside their heads. Repetition of positive self-talk messages is beneficial because this wires them into the brain. Lastly, it is important to program self-talk towards what you want rather than what you do not want. For example, by telling yourself not to miss another shot your subconscious mind will only reinforce the missed shot. Instead, you should think about the desired behavior or performance. Switching from tentative language to certainty and confidence eliminates the potential room for failure.
A person who practices a lot and works hard at improving his game is the type that I feel is really a true golfer. As May Hezlet once said, "No golfer can ever become too good to practice." To have the motivation to prepare you for an endless amount of tough shots during a round is wonderful. For example, lets say you have a one-stroke lead in the Master's and you have a very difficult shot in which you must carry the ball 20 yards, and keep it within putting distance to keep your lead. If you hadn't practiced this shot, most likely you wouldn't carry the whole distance. But, if you did practice, it would take a lot of pressure off yourself and you would most likely succeed.
Playing golf encompasses many ups and downs, excitement and frustration, and an abundance of fun when things go right. Golf is a game with so many different emotions that constantly change and play with countless minds in menacing ways. Motivation is the key to success, brought by successful moments that cause excitement. Those moments keep me returning to the course, continuing to make mistakes, but always learning more about the puzzling language. I started taking the game more seriously when I joined the Morse High School golf team. When I got to the first practice I was expecting a lot of great golfers to be there, and kids that have played the course forever. But to my surprise, the golfers were really only as good as I was. I actually ended up being number one on the team for all four years old high school. This is where I started taking the game to serious. Playing number one of the team can be scary; number one plays all the other number ones from other schools and some of the kids I played against were very good at the game. It was so nerve-racking having to tee of the first hole while both teams watched me, some of the time you can feel your legs shaking before you hit the ball. I grew up at Ravenwood Country Club. I had the perfect life. My dad was a PGA golf professional and I got to use the club’s facilities whenever I pleased. However, there was one problem: I despised golf. Not only did golf disgust me, but it was my mortal enemy. I was around it so much that I never wanted to play. I would have been much happier chasing butterflies than playing golf.
