“I Feel Like No One Wants Us” ~The Fosters Some parents in the world do not discipline their children and do not care what the children. All they care about are them selves. At that point the social workers take the child and put them in foster homes with complete and total strangers. Some companies just put kids with people who do not care about the children just what they get paid. They just let the children go off and do what they want and do not supervise the children’s activities. The social workers should do more thoroughly background checks. There should also be more supervision in foster homes instead of little supervision, and the workers should visit the home and the children more often than they actually do. The foster care workers should investigate foster parents more thoroughly than they have before. These parents that just get handed kids and get given rules does not mean that every foster parents follow them. They can prevent giving children to the wrong people by doing more thorough background checks. They should make sure that the kids go to a good foster home that cares for the child and not someone that just cares about the money. There are some ways to make sure this is put in place. The first thing the foster parent could do is check the child’s phone and make sure that things are going fine in their lives. The next thing that the foster parents could do is limit the amount of activities they are doing with friends. They should not let the kid come and go as they please they should set boundaries. They let the kids just go off and do things that they want because they do not want a big responsibility the workers have given
