Fear. A word that has controlled my entire life. I would not be able to move faster than possible, fight harder than possible, or think harder than possible without the most powerful impulse of the human spirit, fear. If you asked me three years ago if I’m scared of success, I would simply tell you no. I wasn’t afraid because I had no clue what it took to be successful. I believed things were going to be handed to me, so my desire to achieve something was blocked by stubbornness. As of now, I fear success. Behind every fear, is a person that I want to be. Because of my artistic background, I look at my surroundings as constant motivation to create. Steve Jobs is a big believer in turning fears into motivation, and he portrayed that into the creation of Pixar, a place where I have always dreamed of working. That same dream has always included going through the Visualization program at Texas A&M in College Station. I want to see my name in the “notable alumni’s” section of the website as a way to persuade the younger generations to attend. To show that A&M inspires the creative student to reach their potential and change the way people see the world. Most people don’t understand what it takes to design something. They believe all it takes is a pencil and paper. Those are the individuals that I enjoy being around, solely because I get to see the amazement in their eyes when I show them different. Whether it is through machine, pencil and paper, sculpture, or any other media of art, I have the ability to create life, maybe not physically, but emotionally.
