Exercising can be a very tedious and tiring process. So much so that we usually hate to do it, but the truth is that we need to exercise. There are many excuses to not exercise, for instance, many people don’t have time or resources, or simply just don’t care. Exercising can be very exhausting but it also has multiple benefits. Working out at least 30 minutes, three to four times a week can help prevent diseases, help control your weight, aging process and improve mental and emotional health as well as improve stamina, there are different ways to make working out easy and simple. There are many links connecting diseases and the lack of exercise. A U.S. Department of Health study states that approximately “14% of deaths in the United States” are associated with the persons lack of physical activity. Stamina is being able to do exercise or any sport or physical activity without having to take too many breaks in between due to tiredness or breathlessness. Many people believe that improving stamina should only be for athletes, but in reality, we should all thrive for improving our stamina or endurance. Having good stamina is important in our daily lives for a number of reasons. For instance, our daily tasks will become easier to accomplish and working out will be less fatiguing. Improving your stamina means going up three eternally long flight of stairs without having to catch your breathe a thousand times. Or walking/ running a mile without feeling you’re going to pass out. With good stamina, walking to the bus stop or mowing the lawn suddenly feels like a breeze. Daily exercise can improve your endurance. When completing an exercise a person is expecting results that day, during or post workout. Training is a long-term process that creates noticeable and physical results over a span of weeks, even months and years. Training involves planning with preparation for the training duration and progress towards a goal. The desire to win and be better than the competition is essentially important for professional and collegiate athletes. These athletes take training and preparation for a competition to a new level of determination and commitment. For the last two years, I have been working with the University of Oklahoma’s softball team as their student athletic trainer. I attend every practice, workout, and all of their games. As the student athletic trainer, I help with assessing their injuries, with treatment and rehabilitation of their injuries as well as injury prevention. I have watched these women go through some strenuous workouts and have seen their improvements. Some of the girls have asked about taking CrossFit classes or other workout programs during winter and summer breaks. Our strength coach advised against taking the CrossFit classes that he has not specifically approved. He
In America alone, only about 51% of Americans exercise 3 or more times a week, and 18% exercise only 1 to 2 times a week (Shy). 30% of American sadly doesn’t do any type of extracurricular activity or exercise at all (Blackburn). For the people who don’t exercise, try to because you can really only benefit from it. The one’s that already do know the health benefits for exercising. Aside from just exercising, one activity or activities you could do is weight lifting/strength training. Most people don’t think about this but strength training is actually a big key for exercise.
Exercise is very beneficial to everyone that wants to stay fit and to keep their health in good shape for the future. I know many people that work out just thirty minutes a day and eat healthy and they are in the greatest shape of their life. So during the times you feel fat and lazy and just do not want to get up off the couch. Think if you go to your nearest gym and workout for thirty minutes to an hour you will feel so much better with yourself, and have so much energy throughout your day.

As a woman, sometimes it may sound easy to stay fit and healthy, but in reality, it is more of an uphill climbing most especially when you are a working mom or if you are to enter the beautiful journey of adulthood. As a matter of fact, women works harder than men just to lose weight and stay fit. Women would have to exert 20% more effort than men just to get the equal benefits. Men would only stick with their exercise routine to stay fit, on the other hand, women would do both exercise and diet just to get the same results. It's hard to become a woman, isn't it?
