Even though it helps a person cope with depression, drug users should learn that their addiction doesn’t just affect them, but also the path of their life. I say this because the use of drugs has proven to deter a person’s view of life, cause self segregation, and has lead to early deaths. While it also remains an epidemic in this country, without an solid solution. The first thing drug users should learn is that their addiction doesn’t just affect them but also the people around them, because it deters their view of life. Also when becoming dependent on the drugs, conflict and breakdowns in communication can be more common.
Thus this causes the dramatic downfall of relationships between friends and family, in which I myself feel witness to. Back in highschool when I was in my freshman year, I had just moved back into the neighborhood where I first started school, after being gone for a few years. Most drugs today are made from mixed hazardous chemicals, that mainly are consumed by a pill or injected by needle. Studies have shown that the country of afghanistan ranked the highest rate of addiction mortality, due to it being the world’s largest heroin producer. While I even heard recently in the news that massachusetts is slated to becoming an heroin epidemic state. Also the fact that drugs helps spread the hiv/aids virus, due the use of unsanitary tools to commit use. Primarily hospital needles are used in this day and age. Another person I know of who died of drugs, was the cousin of my best friend. He was an addict to what they call “pcp”, and died of an overdose while he was in the bathroom.
