Wayne and Kate is a middle-aged couple who have been together for many years. Their life was great before expanding their family. They used to go out every weekend and splurge. That changed when they had children, who were a real joy adding meaning to their lives but they proof to be financially taxing. Over time, Wayne and Kate had two children, who now are five, and eight years old. Because Wayne and Kate both work, they had to utilize childcare. Childcare proof to be expensive, however Wayne’s job offered childcare reimbursement. Otherwise, their finances would be too tight for the couple to cover costs. This is the main reason why people overdraw their bank accounts. People have the tendency of impulse shopping especially when they are in distress. Although this behavior is illogical, often people under duress tend to act more impulsively than usual, thus leaving their better judgment behind. For example, after receiving an overdrawn notice from your bank or an overextended notice on your credit card, there is a tendency for wanting to spend more.

• Not budgeting is one of the most overlooked financial mistakes. You need to know exactly how much money comes in and out at least on the weekly basis. First, neither Kate nor Tanner knew each other spending habits, so they organized a budget. Kate and Tanner discover interesting spending habits form each other since they never before put them down on paper to see. In their budget, there was a space reserved for discretionary spending, which is how much money they use on anything that is not a necessity. They both fumble on this because of their different views on necessities. For example, they spent quite a bit of time arguing about Tanner 's poker habits. Bianca pointed out that is not a priority to buy tools for a housing project that is not going to be worked on immediately. In the same way, Bianca had her downfalls. Explaining to Bianca that she needed to stop sending money to her sister was difficult. Bianca felt pity for her sister because she made a few bad choices in her life. Because of this, Bianca had a hard time turning away from her sister, but after a long argument, they agreed they just could not afford to help others financially when they, themselves are struggling. They engaged in a detailed conversation while working on their budget. An important part of their conversation was grocery shopping.
