Kids walking the halls! Sophomores lost, Freshman too! Looking for their class. Students complaining about how “summer was too short.” When seeking a career as a teacher, a person should look at aspects such as one’s responsibilities, necessary skills, work conditions, salary, and its prospect, but even more importantly is to prepare oneself properly by attending The University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) that will offer the best training possible. Teaching has a lot of tasks and responsibilities. As a teacher you must get students to want to learn and get them engages with the assignment or the lesson. Job specific skills depend on what subject it is you will teach. A math teacher only teaches math, not reading and writing as well. The working conditions will be waking up early, 5:30am or 6am. Where you work might not even be the city where you are from. The salary/ benefits are between 33-56 thousand. Being a teacher doesn’t make you rich. The benefits are you get summers off, as well as holidays. You don’t work weekends, even better! Unless you want to be a part of extracurricular activities and all. The occupational outlook looks great! The world will always need teachers! Education is a forever thing! Everyone will need it, it is required now.

There’s no doubt about it- teaching is a stressful occupation! That’s because a good portion of what you’re trying to cultivate in your students- such as good work habits, a healthy attitude, and intrinsic motivation to succeed- ultimately beyond your control. These are also factors that are influenced by many variables, including parental involvement, economic factors, and stress in the home, Therefore, as a teacher, you have to be careful not to take your work too seriously. Make sure that you’re taking time for yourself, to decompress and relax while you’re not at school. so that when you return to the classroom each day you can really be your best.
