Animal rights is a big topic in the meat and dairy industry. According to Animals, in the USA alone we kill and abuse nine billion animals a year for consumption. Think about how many animals are executed in a decade. “Animal supporters say animals should have the same rights to life and liberty as human beings (SCHOLASTIC UPDATE)”. In these industries animals are Intensively confined, Physically deformed, and Genetically manipulated. In view of the fact that animals are very abused, animals should not be mistreated, unnecessarily killed daily, and have a high percentage of their bodies wasted. One of the main reasons these innocent animals are being domesticated and mistreated is because most meat and dairy factories are profit driven. The owners and other people that work there and gain a high percentage of the profit don’t care about the production process, and they should. However, some believe that the treatment towards the animals is ok because they might need the products for health reasons or can’t afford to buy cruelty free products.
