How would you feel if you were put into a small cage with eight other people which you can barely move, and you are beaten to the verge of life for no reason? Millions of animals are being abused every single day and most people aren’t aware of the conflict. Animal abuse is one of the most controversial issues in this world. When it comes to the topic of animals being treated poorly, most of us readily agree that it is horrifying and unacceptable. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of “Do animals deserve to be mistreated poorly and get fed by human afterwards?” Whereas some are convinced that animals should be treated right, they deserve respect and dignity, and animals should be raised in farms not factories. Therefore, if we have to kill an animal for us to eat, our point of view about this situation will definitely change. Our society’s mindset has changed over the years. Animals deserve respect and dignity as if they were humans. We are all created equally as living things, therefore, they should be treated as such. Over 99% of farm animals across the U.S are being raised in factory farms, the main reason for this is because they are mainly interested in profit. According to food inc movie, a farmer named Carole, said that the meat industry are mass production and it is not even farming anymore. She raised for about thousands of chickens that are caged up. All her chickens were bigger than the usual, and the reason why is that chickens are being fed corn instead of chicken food. Also, they are being injected to make their body three times bigger which will cause them to not be able to walk because they are unbalanced. Cows are in similar concept, they are being fed corn instead of grass, because corn are way cheaper, though, it is very unhealthy for them.
