Pro-Life Pro-choice and pro-life advocates which is people in support, or not in support of abortions, have had contentious disputes throughout America. An Abortion is often described as a premeditated killing of a human being often performed during the first trimesters of pregnancy. The killing of any human being is unlawful yet abortion laws grant women the opportunity to kill a child with no questions asked. Some women believe that it is their right to be able to decide whether they want to abort their child, however they don’t understand the horrible effects of their decision. Abortion may be the key to ending someone’s life, and surly will be the same key that causes harm to the female body.
As the baby’s life is not given equal protection or choice. Contraceptives are at the fingertips of women to avoid pregnancy. But if for some reason the woman still gets pregnant, adoption is another option. Leading to the point, that abortion should be illegal because depriving an innocent fetus of life is ethically wrong. And without abortion mother’s would not have to wonder “what could have been”.
Rape and incest is traumatic for the woman, but think if that woman had to keep that child, a constant reminder of a horrible event. Growing up asking who his daddy was, 'I don't know, he raped me.' This wouldn't really be a very good situation for child or mother. Even if she gave the baby away for adoption, she would still have to carry the foetus for 9 months. It would make the experience a lot harder to get over.
Where mother life is at risk, when pregnancy occur due to rape, where contraception fail and where mother intentionally became pregnant. I am against this believe because as we know if mother life is at risk then fetus life is also at risk; fetus is fully dependent with mother. If is planning for pregnancy she can meet with a doctor and ask is she ready to be a mother. On the other hand, if it is unplanned and unprepared then either she should be more careful about being a pregnant by pills, using contraception or any other medications if not then avoid sexual intercourse. In the case of pregnancy occurs due to rape what I personally believe is abortion call kill her.
Still in today’s time, people argue and debate whether abortion should be legal or not. Abortion is a controversial issue which many people believe is evil because it is taking an innocent human life. Killing a child is unethical, and completely unfair to the fetus that is the victim. According to Margaret Sykes from her article “Rape Justifies Abortion,” “If a 14-year-old [rape victim]…can’t have an abortion without being dragged through the courts…and having people trying to stop her left and right, who can?” (Sykes 130) Sykes believed that the 14 year old girl who had been raped had every right to abort her child. She believed that abortion should be legal for rape victims no matter what stage of the pregnancy they were in.
Whether it is mentally or physically. Although I believe abortion is a terrible thing and should be illegal, many people believe that if you think about it, scientifically abortion isn’t wrong. Scientists say that “The unborn is an embryo or a fetus that is just a simple blob of tissue” (Alcorn). Science takes a major part in abortion. The fetus inside the woman's body may be alive, but we can’t tell whether or not it will become a potential human (Alcorn).
Women may argue that abortion is not murder because when it is performed the bad has not fully developed and it does not become a real person until it has been delivered from the mother’s body (Messerli 4). The government should not be able to control what women can do with their body. If she does not want to have the baby she should not be forced into doing it (1). Abortions are in fact safe to be performed and does not cause the baby pain. Adoption is not simply the correct solution for having an abortion because if abortion was completely banned then there would be too many babies to be adopted and over the years it would pile up and become overwhelming (“Should abortion be” 2).
Abortion is a big issue for women and it should be made legal in all countries because legalized abortion prevents illegal unsafe abortions, child abusive crime and health problems like depression, trauma and shock. Legalized abortion law prevents the unsafe abortions. Anti choice groups people think that killing the unwanted child should be against the law and it is a murder but they mistaken the point that the women who decides to give up the child will abort in anyway either safe or unsafe. “About 40% of women who have a clandestine abortion experience complications that require treatment” (Cohen, Facts and consequences). Women who decide to have an illegal abortion get their life on the risk.
Anti-Abortion Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, meaning that during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy the female stops the fetus from developing anymore. Child abortion can be a very debatable topic from both points of view. There are many people that say abortion is wrong and should be illegal. Other people say the opposite and think that they should not be forced to keep a child if they do not want to. A woman can choose to have an abortion simply because she doesn’t want to have a child or because she was raped and doesn’t think it’s right to have a child that she did not want to have.
Although, nearly all women who forego the procedure of an abortion were already on a form of contraception drug, so the baby is clearly unwanted. Adoption isn’t the same as an abortion, because it should be the woman’s choice on if she wants to put her body through the stresses of a pregnancy. Also, many women who have their babies don’t just give them up for adoption, and in both cases, the child is bound to feel unwanted at some point.
