Persuasive Writing I believe that hunting is truly beneficial to the environment, not harmful. Others believe that the effects of hunting in the world is negative. They believe that the animals should have a right to life and to not be harvested for their meat. What they do not know, or are not considering, is that hunting is always going to be around because it is a way of life and is often used as a way of survival. Hunting teaches young and old hunter’s responsibility, trust, and patience. Hunting for meat is teaching how to supply for your family, leaving you responsible for finding a food supply for members that rely on you. Hunting is also known as a hobby, life skills, trading/bartering, and for some; a way of life. For those who view it as a hobby use the entire animal in every way they can: meat to eat, hide used for clothing, carcasses for feeding other animals, and some organs for food as well.
PETA believes that sport hunting is unnecessary for life today, and that it is a cruel form of punishment. They say most animals suffer from being shot multiple times, being left wounded and never retrieved, or just kill for the fun of it. Even though many hunters do not kill just for fun. Experienced hunters do it for the experience and the meat to harvest.
Another reason people hunt is to control the population of a certain animal. This is why when you are asked how many animals you tagged this season, the answer is always how many you harvested. Killing is an inhumane way of calling it harvesting. When you buy a specific hunting tag, there is typically a set limit to how many tags are sold in a specific state or county. This placed limit makes it illegal for people to hunt and kill as many animals as they would like to. This takes away the possibility of eliminating an entire species of
