When people are born it means they are born into a certain family, country or even environment which means if they want to change their surroundings for whatever reason, moving seems to be logical. With them moving into another place they would be called immigrants to that place or even country and the number one countries of immigration is United States of America, Germany and Russia and it has been a big deal for the past 50 years. This means they will have to learn how to adjust into that place and for the majority of the time the number one question they would be asked is why did they move into that new surroundings, however we have to ask ourselves what can we do to help the immigrants of this country? The question of how we can help them is puzzling for the reason being most people do not like immigrants and they would want them to return to their home country, however if we helped them then we would not have such a problem. One of the way in which we can help them is by providing them with services that are in their native language. For the majority of the time when they move to a new country they …show more content…
For the majority of the time when people migrant is for the reason being they want their children to have a better childhood than their own meaning they do not want their children to grow up in poverty, poor health and bad neighborhoods. With them moving into this country the children should not face the same problem their parents did just because they are in a different country and since a study from 2013 showed that 30.7 million of the immigrant children lived below the poverty line. This numbers are frightening for the reason being children are the future of the country no matter if they are born into that country or just moved in. helping the children will make the country much better since they would have the motivation to study hard and improve the county that welcomed them and their home
When it comes to immigration many things comes to a person mind. There are many things that an immigrant faces when he/she decides to migrate to another country. For instance, for an immigrant moving is not an easy thing to do they will have to leave everything behind and start over again in a whole different country than their own native country. At first is going to be hard because they do not know anyone, they do not speak the language. The parents will have to look for a house and also look for a job to support their family and learn how to survive in what seems like a different world. These are some of the problems that immigrants face when coming to the United States.
Nowadays, United States is the country that has variety of cultures, races, etc. mixing together by having immigrants in their countries. However, they need to control these group of people also. More people out of country are trying to stay in the U.S. However, this is not an easy process to deal with. There is an immigrant policy that they have to go through. In the past, United States is wide open for people to settle down on this land. There is no process of immigrants. However, in the middle of 1840 to 1880, immigrants started to come in the U.S. such as Irish and Chinese because of demanding of unskilled and cheap labors. In the 1920, automation replaced unskilled labors as a result immigrant’s policy is limited quotas for immigrants
The question this research will attempt to answer is why an immigration reform is needed? One of the reason is that are more than 11 million of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Many people come all around the world with one dream in their hand and is to make better life for themselves and their families. Our immigration system needs to start to realize the hardships, and the contributions for those undocumented immigrants moving here. Trying to keep their families together here in this country, with the hope of creating a legal path or process of citizenship in the country. The same hope that will compensate the United States rather than create more expensive by trying to deport millions of people, and building a wall between two
can possibly be separated from their parents. Children suffer from their parents getting deported and not having a family member or guardian that can look out for them. Most families don’t have other family members in the U.S. because they come from other countries like Latin America and from Mexico. That leads for children to not have a second home to go to but to be put in an orphanage home. The children that get separated from their parents suffer a lot. They will no longer get to be with their fellow loved ones especially their parents. It’s not fair for parents to get deported and for their children to be left alone and not have someone to look for them or care. Who knows what will be next for those kids that are left without their parents. Kids suffer and are left with nothing but to hope one day they will reunite with their parents once
Every year, millions of illegal immigrants escape from their homeland to the United States to live an American Dream. Many believe that the U.S is the “land of freedom and opportunity” that can promise you a better quality life for yourself and family members. Its crucial to understand how difficult, one must struggle in order to live in America. The US current policy allows for “..merely 620,000 immigrants to gain citizenship per year” ( Goldsborough 2012) How can this be the land of opportunity if we're the land of no opportunity for citizenship? There are many positive and negative issues that occur with the immigration reform. One can argue that passing the Comprehensive immigration reform can serve our people and country huge success. Immigrants leave their countries in search for a better life and improvement of their situation. There is no singular reason for immigration; motivations range from better economic prospects to political safety. As of late, the number of immigrants living in the United States is an estimated 11 million. Those who immigrate are expected to contribute to the United States culturally, politically, and economically. Yet, full assimilation becomes difficult to achieve when the immigrant is made into “the other” by the country of reception.
Illegal immigration has become a controversial topic in politics within the US. Some believe that undocumented immigrants are vital to the U.S. economy because they take the jobs Americans do not want. Others however, have the opinion that undocumented immigrants should be punished for doing things illegally, arguing that undocumented immigrants are taking the jobs of the American people and taking abusing it by not paying taxes. Although there are speculations that support the claim that immigrants should be punished, there are several counterarguments that state why they should be allowed to stay. Undocumented immigrants are an important factor to the development of the United States of America, immigrants have supplied a widespread example
Migration for “a better life” or to be with one’s family shaped the history of the United States since the beginning. In the US today there are 40 million immigrants and the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that there is around 11 million illegal aliens already living right here and are not authorized to live and work in the United States. It makes it hard to protect their right because they are in this country illegal. Immigrant are living in the US are in constant fear of being deported so they live in quiet hiding so that they go undetected by US officials. They are so fearful of deportation that they don’t report crimes against them or employers that take advantage of them or do not pay them for work.
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Immigrants have always been an important part of United States’ population. Each year, there are hundreds of thousands of immigrants, from all around the world, including legal and illegal, come into the United States for job opportunities, new life, or the American Dream. “Immigrants have contributed significantly to the development of the United States. During the Lincoln administration, immigrants were actually encouraged to come to America, as they were considered valuable to the development of the country.” (Soylu & Buchanan, 2013). They believe that the US will give them more freedom, protection, and opportunities, which sometimes it becomes the major issues for immigrants. Who is an immigrant? An immigrant is a person who has a citizenship in one country but enters another country to set up as a permanent resident. Sometimes countries are suffering greatly from lack of leadership, internal strife or war, and a collapsed economy. This is the case in Somalia, as well as in Syria, Libya, and Yemen. Syrian people are moving to Europe in order to find a peaceful home. Mexican immigrants come to the US looking for jobs. The people then move to new countries where they don’t speak the national language. In America, when the immigrants come, there are many difficulties: cultural differences regarding time and scheduling, transportation issues, and language difficulties.
The travel that illegal immigrants have to come to the United States is as hard as their life back home, but as soon as they settle down, their quality of life will start to improve.
