What is the benefit to this country of deporting hundreds of thousands of families even when most of these immigrants are not a threat to the the country’s security? Many laws and acts that have been made all to try to figure out what to do with illegal Immigrants. For example the Immigration Service in 1891, Naturalization Act in 1790, Chinese Exclusion Act in 1882, The Quota system from 1900 to 1921, border control on Canada and Mexico in 1924 and so many more. So many races like Chinese, Japanese, Mexicans, Canadians come here to the United States either legally or illegal. That includes having a better job and education. The surroundings for the city or country might of been bad. Mexico is one example, some cities are really bad, economy is bad too, people robbing, some kids getting kidnapped, and many cities are like that not only in Mexico. “One- third migrated from a developing nation to a developed one” (Issitt, et al.). US. being the country where people have the right to “ life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. People talking about the US. also being the country where dreams come true and a way for a better life. People outside of the United States have this image in their head of the US being perfect. Immigrants want to fit in and be like everyone, well payed job, good education for their kids if they have some, and a roof to live under. “ Illegal immigration results largely from the ‘push-pull effect’ caused by the combination of stagnant economies in Latin America and the need for workers in the United States” (Illegal Immigration and Border Security). Immigrants want a job either to raise their family or for them, for a better living. The Economy is very different in different countries.
