Being sat on the bench isn’t a very pleasant thing to do while watching your teammates play the entire game is it. According to some people many of them think that coaches shouldn’t have to play all players the same amount of playing time because they suck on that sport. I agree on that High school coaches should be given each player the equal amount of playing time.
In a growing trend that reaches to all corners of the athletic world, coaches are being forced to cope with the added stress of disgruntled parents. More and more they are required to defend personal coaching styles and philosophies, uphold team decisions and go head to head with angry, and sometimes violent parents. The pressure has gotten to the point where coaches all over the country are quitting or being forced out of their jobs by groups of parents. High school athletics should be about learning and having fun, and when parents cross the line between cheerleader and ringleader everyone suffers.
For example, Dr. Kristin Heredia, who is a dean of students of a high school in Ottawa, claims, “Not everyone is going to be a starter. People earn these things by their performance.”.” In the same fashion that not all actors can be the star role in a play or movie or gets to be the lead singer in a band, not everyone gets to be the starting forward or pitcher. Some players are not fit to play some positions just based on natural abilities, and if the coach gives the same amount of time on the field or court for these positions, the game’s competitiveness, moral, and enjoyment is destroyed. Finally, Dr. Alan Goldberg, who travels across the nation to help coaches learn and teach young athletes, describes, “The really maddening, discouraging and frustrating thing for kids and their parents is watching the coach's favorites put in minimal or inconsistent effort into practice, perform poorly in games and still get more playing time from the coach”..”
He begins with putting an emphasis towards a great coach and what he or she has to offer. He believes that a coach can have a huge impact on a child’s life. He adds that a coach can be a great role model for athletes and teach them beneficial life skills. He states that there is so much to be learned and much of it is not offered in an actual classroom. To start with, there is an argument as to whether or not coaches of school sports teams should offer equal playing time to all of their players. According to Alan Goldberg, every athlete wants playing time, but not every athlete can always get it. In other words, only the athletes that put in the effort can have playing time because that shows that they really want playing time. The athlete can not only put in the hard work but he/she needs to be skilled at that sport. Coaches of school teams should not offer equal playing time to the players because teams play to win so they will put their best players in, players who are skilled and put in the effort will make the starting lineup, and the athletes are paying for practice not playing time.
High school football is very risky! There are so many ups and downs about this sport in particular. Many people would say it is dangerous for these young boys to play football though others will have a different outlook on it. Football is truly not that dangerous and it can be very helpful for some boys in various ways including, scholarships, personality and a learning experience.

Student athletes live very busy lives. A typical school day runs from 8:00-2:30, add in a two- hour practice or game, score a part time job, dive into some family time, a grand slam of homework and catch a little bit of sleep. Students are more stressed due to the many activities they are a part of. This issue affects a lot of people not only in this school district, but most other high schools throughout the country. A unique facet to the nationwide college athlete discourse surrounds the rigorousness of their academic standards. Supporters of the current standards cite that student-athletes must meet the same minimum GPA as traditional students. Although the GPA requirements differ depending on the institution, the students must make progress toward graduating based on a schedule established by the NCAA. Violating the rules can result in ineligibility. Bill Hawkins, a professor at University of Georgia, points out that student-athletes must also adhere to the same admission standards as other students, despite many athletes coming from poorly funded public schools. Hawkins also argues that student-athletes are devoting 50 to 70 hours a week to sports and cannot handle a full-time academic course load during the sports season. The NCAA points out that graduation rates for all student-athletes are rising. Graduation rates among women student-athletes are around 80 percent for many sports and exceeds the rate for women students overall.
Some schools force students to participate in organized school sports. However, I believe that schools should not make this a requirement. Some students may have medical conditions, family situations that don't allow them to participate in organized school sports, or they simply may not have the time.

After careful research on the effects of concussions, it is clear that children should just play and enjoy sports because football is a great way to improve concentration, become better conditioned and gain strength, and improves health overall. It 's been outrageous , how many kids get injured per year playing youth sports for school and organizations. The youth who play sports receive plenty medical attention throughout the year due to injuries cause from actions made occuring in games. Health plays a big part in sports because if your are are not healthy many things can go wrong with the body including dehydration, heart problems , and muscle spasm. Playing a sport can be very hard to juggle with school and also getting talked down by coaches and parents. Dehydration is a high possibility because of outside sports that happen in the spring/summer and playing and practicing in humid conditions that you are not well prepared for can be bad and there will be consequences. Are high school sports beneficial or not for students? I personally believe if a student is in a high school sport they’re forced to prioritize between school and their sport, and at a young age I believe the student would decide to use his time to improve in his sport instead of school. Which in the long run would affect his academics, unless they decide to stay up late and work on their homework to keep up with both school and their sport. But, even like that in time the lack of sleep would catch up to them, and cause them to do even worse in both academics, and sports. High school sports are like the lotto in my opinion, many play but only a few get rewarded for their work. Therefore, high school sports cause more negativity than positivity.
There are way too many students all over the world today that are overweight, and even obese. A major way to reduce or eliminate these numbers would be to get more participation in high school athletics. Sports do not only provide a healthier body, but also teaches lessons for later on in life, not just good body health. It helps students learn to accept others, and also learn how to face tough decisions like adversity. Another big skill students would learn is how to accept others no matter what gender, race, or ethnicity. High school students should be mandated to participate in a sport in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.
