It’s cold, damp, and dark. I can 't see anything. My eyes are burning! I can 't move! Something is picking me up and stretching my arms out and strapping them to some type of contraption. Ouch! It hurts, it 's too tight. I’m screaming in pain, but these things don 't seem to care. What is happening to me? I 'm not happy with this, make it stop please! Oh no, they are back. As I scream bloody murder, they pry open my eyes and shine a bright light into my eyes to check on how their product is working. They are not liking the results, and decide to spray more of the painful chemical they call perfume into my eyes, it burns! They put me back into a wire cage with little food and water, if only I could see where the food is. I hear all around me …show more content…

In a web document titled “Should Animals Be Used for Scientific or Commercial Testing?” they bring up the ideas on what would happen without testing, and the benefits to giving up animal testing. One benefit to giving up animal testing would be that we would see a decrease in the mistreatment of animals, on the downside to giving up animal testing is that without any real trials, humans could severely die from a drug that was approved through a simulation, which turns out to be toxic to humans. There are numerous animal activist groups that march around trying to free the U.S. from animal testing and have only recently started to win back some rights for the animals used in laboratories. ProCon.org points out that the United States and Gabon are the only countries that still allow animal testing on chimpanzees. They also point out that almost 95% of animals are not protected under the federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA) such as rats, birds, mice and reptiles. Both Bio and Elizabeth Fisher would most likely not agree with most of what ProCon.org has to say. What all the authors can agree with is, that animal testing has brought about innumerable lifesaving cures and treatments. They can also agree that with all the alternative methods available, a whole body system is the best to test things such as
