Different personality traits are discussed from a personal and professional position. After taking the Meyers-Briggs Personality Test, I found out that I am an ESFJ personality. In this paper I will analyze and discuss the validity of this type in both my personal life as well as my career. The majority of the test was accurate, even if it was somewhat disturbing to read. I found that my actual personality type is different than how I see, or saw, myself in the past. I break down each letter of my personality type and discuss the different aspects of those letters and how they affect both my career and personal life. I consider this to be a weakness for my position. In HR, I cannot judge the situation without all the facts. I find it difficult to not go into a situation without a prejudgment. In the same aspect, I sometimes find that by having the prejudgment, I am not easily swayed by the antics of my employees. When I conduct investigation, I have to look at the situation from every angle before I make my final decision. When I first saw that judging was a part of my personality type, I have to be honest in saying I was not pleased. I feel I work incredibly hard not to judge any situation before I have had the chance to hear every angle. I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. With that being said, once someone has abused my trust I have a hard time ever believing them again. This makes my job very difficult some days. When I do investigations, there are times when I have to interview the same person for different grievances. When they lied to me during the first investigation, I automatically assume they will lie the second time. I judge them before I even start my interview. aVery good
