From a young age I have always had an interest in Nursing this came from my Mum being a Nurse and going to work with her after school. When i showed and interest in pursuing Nursing I was discouraged father.

I left school at 16 and I knew I wanted to help people and give something back to the community and help make a difference, I joined the fire service to not only to help people but to gain the approval from my father. I spent five years in the fire service, I experienced a lot of very difficult and challenging times which I overcame through close team work, along with very enjoyable rewarding

At the Age of 21 i decided that it was time to go and pursue the career I have always wanted to do and I joined Maidstone Tunbridge wells NHS trust …show more content…

I also work on the staff bank for the diversity of working in other nursing areas and seeing and meeting new people.

My aspirations are to become a Registered nurse and work in a verity of different settings but as a career I see my self in an Accident and emergency department, with the hope of going onto do my masters and become an Emergency nurse practitioner, or becoming a charge nurse in a ward based environment.

I am currently doing my Access to HE Nursing diploma with Kingston college whilst continuing to work in the A&E department. I chose to continue with working as I wanted to give myself a realistic expectation of University, the work load with managing both placements and assignments, for this reason I travel 2 hours to and from college twice a week. I also wish to maintain my competencies continue to care for people and develop in my role to help prepare me for the next step as a staff
