Everyone is searching for their purpose in life. They expect it to just magically appear. But that’s not realistic at all, you need a plan. A most effective plan would clear with goals, and being prepared for any obstacles that will be on the way. For instance, my purpose is to live a long happy life and to enjoy every moment. Career wise, to become a MRI technician. And educationally, to earn an A.S. degree in radiology. Accomplishing these goals is essential to me and my purpose.
Personally, just having a good life with my family is all I really want. They have always made time for each other and I would like to do the same by making time for them. Living a comfortable, fun life with them is what I want to achieve. I will never forget what my grandfather did for my dad and his brothers. He was never rich, but that didn’t stop him from doing taking my dad and uncles to cool places. They lived in a trailer just to put my dad on a trip to Korea. My grandparents, uncles, and aunts have always stuck by and we have had so much fun together. Being happy with my family is crucial for my purpose.

But first I have to pass my classes. So that is my number one priority right now. In order for me to have a 3.0 GPA, I have to make sure I study and do quality work. My sister is always pushing me to get good grades. She looks over my homework and helps with my math work. Also my roommate is very helpful, he offers a helping hand whenever he gets the chance to. My roommate is very smart when it comes to grammar, mechanics and spelling, I always let him look over my papers. My life experiences thus far bring the best of both worlds to my education and career goals; a student coupled with a variety of life experiences. Being a newly graduated non-traditional student, mother of school-aged children, and experience working with students in the classroom, I bring diversity to your program. Through personal analysis and efforts with other professionals, I have overcome early childhood tragedies. Desiring to make the best use of my experiences by helping others to overcome trauma, and insecure upbringings by conquering these adversities and circumstances positively. First off, I want to graduate from college and do it well. I want to be able to do things on the weekends and not worry about having to make things up or anything like that. I am hoping for a scholarship in football, in my opinion that would be a great start for me in college. Then after college maybe pursue that as a career. If that doesn't work out for me then I want to look into athletic training or physical therapy. If those things don't interest me or I don't get into it I am then looking into law. That will take much more time and patience, but it's gonna be the rest of my life.
Who knew growing up would be so stressful. No one gave me advice on how to get through the rough times, I had to learn on my own. But nothing has or ever will stop me from achieving my goals. Most of my family didn't finish school, or got the chance to start college, but if I Lizette Mendoza finish high school and college, I would be the third person in the family to do so. The healthcare field and all professions within is one of the fastest and most aggressively growing career path. Just as people will always need someone to fix anything they will also always need doctor medical staff. I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Many people have told me that my educational career goal is difficult to achieve, and it most likely is. I have dreamed of becoming a doctor since I was seven years old and now, I am one step closer. I will be majoring in Biomedical Science (Pre-Professional Concentration) at the University of Central Florida in hopes of attending Medical School.
My career goal is to specialize in cardiology or neurology after majoring in biology for my undergraduate years and work with an organization that specializes in either one of those two fields. Growing up, goals change dramatically. A five-year olds goal is to get the coloring page done. As people go through school, goals obviously change. A freshman’s goal may be to learn the school so he or she doesn’t get lost. Senior’s goals grow to finding where they will spend the next four years or what kind of career they will grow upon. Then, of course goals continue to change as people get older and enter into different stages of life. In this essay, I am going to talk about how my goals in different aspects of my life and how they have transformed, what they are currently, and what they may turn into in the future.
It has been my craving in every aspect of life to do things differently, chart my own path and tread in to uncharted territory. Nine years back, this what made me join a course in bachelor of marine engineering at MERI, the only institute in India exclusively offering such a course. Idea of venturing in to high sees, braving the storms with only handful of resources and almost completely cut off from out side world made adrenaline pumping in to my veins. All this along with opportunity to get exposure to highly sophisticated systems on board ships, which was fodder for my technical bent of mind seemed perfect for my adventure seeking personality.
