Law is a magnificent puppeteer which aims to control civilisations. The great philosopher Aristotle stated: 'Law should govern'. In view of that, the regulation of a society should be based on these set of rules established by an authority, which are designed to create economic, social and political stability. It is what maintains our societies and prevents an eruption of chaos and destruction. Law has an impact on everything we do, from creating a personal statement where copyright infringement laws take prevalence, deterring individuals from engaging in plagiarism, to criminal law which protects society from harmful individuals. There is a vast framework of law which applies to nearly every aspect of our lives. My interest in Law began at GCSE where I studied Law and achieved an A grade. I studied areas such as Family Law and Criminal Law, the former deals with matrimonial proceedings whilst the latter deals with crime. This has given me basic knowledge of relevant areas of Law which may be studied at university. I currently study English Literature, Economics and Psychology, which I believe are suitable subjects that have refined and improved my written communication, critical and evaluative skills. Macroeconomics as part of A2 level Economics has provided me with knowledge of the functions of the EU, which is applicable to the study of Law and Policy of the EU law. I have also taken up the Extended Project Qualification course which will enhance my independent learning and research skills, which are indispensable as a university student.

I can assure you that I have a strong work ethic and determination to progress and develop on this course. It is in my competitive nature to be the best at whatever I do, thus I am sure I will be an ideal candidate for your course. I am certain that after I graduate from University with a 1st class in Law, despite the economic condition and escalating youth unemployment, I will have widened prospects and possibly a career as a solicitor or barrister. I anticipate university life, both the social and academic aspects. I will strive to become an exemplary student at your institute, as failure is not an option for me.
